Human Resources Generalist Associate (External Agency Staff)

NFL Media is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist. Working across various client groups for NFL Media, this position will be responsible for supporting both operational goals and tactical initiatives that shape our culture, engage our employees and drive organizational results. This individual will provide ongoing support to employees & managers, acting as a trusted resource for HR-related matters. Additionally, the individual will be able to make recommendations and develop strategies in alignment with the Company's vision. 

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the support and execution of the people strategy that proactively addresses business needs. This includes talent acquisition, organizational development, performance management, talent planning and career development, employee relations, leadership development, compensation and rewards, and diversity groups. 
  • Provide tier 1 HRBP support, including acting as a trusted resource by being a sounding board for managers and employees, day-to-day human resources services in the areas of policy interpretation, staffing, onboarding, training, payroll, performance management, employee relations, and recognition. 
  • Work with HR Answers team and a wider shared services team to provide first class strategic business partnering and responsive, quality service to all employees within the client group. 
  • Under the guidance of the Senior HRBP, provide the provision of advice and counsel to leaders on all organization and human resources issues – playing a leadership role from intake to resolution for employee relations matters and staffing decisions. 
  • Support the implementation of all key company-wide HR initiatives and life cycle activities for the client group, e.g. promotions, learning & development programs, compensation planning, performance management and talent planning for client groups. 
  • In partnership with the Talent Acquisition team, oversee and execute the staffing strategies to meet the needs of the Media Group including job review as well as the process and implementation strategy for seasonal & agency hiring. 
  • Manage requests for flexible work arrangements and accommodation in partnership with the Senior HRBPs and Employee Relations Lead.    
  • HRBP Analytics – oversee and execute the compiling and analyzing of key HR data requests to help provide insight and inform HR recommendations as well as business decisions.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required 
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources 
  • Understanding of, and experience with, core aspects of Human Resource Management (staffing; employee relations; compliance; investigations, compensation planning, performance management; leadership development; training) 
  • Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items 
  • Must possess consultative style and authentic approach, with proven ability to develop credible relationships 
  • Proven ability to influence decision making; courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project/program management skills 
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills 
  • Exercise a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism and diplomacy in interactions with all levels of the organization 
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information while exercising a great deal of discretion and good judgment  
  • Strong experience and demonstrated skills in handling a variety of employee relations matters 
  • Excellent follow through skills and the ability to anticipate and address business needs proactively 
  • Possess strong work ethic; self-motivated with a desire to take initiative and look for ways to improve processes and create efficiencies 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in managing through multiple priorities with overlapping tasks across multiple businesses 
  • Highly adaptable to a fluid and ever-changing work environment 
  • Experience within entertainment or sports industry preferred.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week in office. Occasional weekend work during peak game season. 
  • This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Salary

$33 - $45 USD

This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location, and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
