Seasonal Photo Editor
Overview /Objective:
NFL Media is seeking a seasonal Photo Editor to join our team for the 2025 Season. The NFL Photo department provides exclusive imagery in real-time for use across the League, including our editorial, social, and marketing departments, Network, players, and clubs. The ideal candidate has strong editorial judgment, a passion for football and visual storytelling, and a drive to find the most engaging images for our audience. The position will primarily focus on curating image assets for daily news coverage, creating story-driven photo content, and live editing for game images. Other responsibilities may include assistance producing photo shoots and providing event editing support.
Responsibilities:
- Produce image assets for news stories on NFL digital platforms - source and crop thumbnails for articles and videos, produce feature art for centerpiece stories using image templates.
- Provide editing support for game days and tentpole events. Edit images in real time: toning, captioning, and transmitting to internal galleries to share across League departments.
- Assist with maintaining in-house image archive and distribution of NFL images. Ensure proper archival of incoming images from games, events, and photoshoots.
- Provide still photo coverage of NFL Media shows as needed. Shoot on set, edit and archive images.
- Assist with content for Photo department Instagram account: developing content, selecting and posting images
- Assist with photo research projects as needed.
- Archive images in the NFL asset management system
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience photo editing for digital media, preferably for editorial outlets.
- Bachelor’s degree (or degree in progress) with emphasis in photography, or equivalent photography experience.
- Knowledge of best practices for editorial images. Experience captioning and applying metadata to editorial standards.
- Ability to handle a large volume of assets on deadline.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Photo Mechanic.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality and accuracy under deadline.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays in alignment with NFL game schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sports photography preferred
- Familiarity with content management systems (i.e. Photoshelter), DAM systems, and FTP clients.
- Passion for NFL, strong knowledge of NFL news and events.
- Knowledge of studio photography a plus.
- Familiarity with photography rights and licensing.
- Experience in live event coverage a plus.

Salary / Pay Range

$32.47 - $32.47 USD
