Football Communications Associate (External Staffing Agency)

The Football Communications Associate will be working as a part of the NFL's Communication Department, supporting the Football Communications group’s day-to-day activities with an emphasis placed on generating football content.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Football Communications team to contribute ideas and develop quality notes highlighting the game on the field.
- Edits, fact-checks and proofreads all football content.
- Support accreditation process and media relations for key NFL events, including the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl Games, NFL Draft, NFL Combine and international games.
- Available on Sundays in-season to produce weekly recaps of the key aspects of pregame shows and track relevant football clips.
- Available on NFL gamedays to assist with the post-game officiating pool report process.
- Produces Football Communications content (both for written press releases and social media).
- Research football information, including game notes, statistics, milestones and records.
- Assist with sending and posting press releases on media.nfl.com and posting content on the department X account, @NFL345.
- Respond to media research inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Practiced in Microsoft Office
- Profound, in-depth NFL knowledge
- Strong organizational, writing and editing skills
- Good research skills and ability to fact-check
- Ability to generate new and creative ideas, especially as it relates to NFL statistics
- Exceptional social media skills, including X, Instagram and TikTok.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Adobe Cloud (InDesign and Photoshop)
- Verbal communications and phone presence

Travel

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- Employees are required to work 40 hours per week onsite in the New York office
- This is a non-exempt, hourly position.
- This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
Salary
$24 - $25 USD
At the NFL, in-person work at our offices is a top priority because it allows us to collaborate more effectively, build stronger connections, and maintain the culture that drives our success. This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location, and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
