Story Producer Associate (External Staffing Agency)
The Entertainment & Initiatives Story Producer creates feature stories, segments and elements, focusing on NFL league cause initiatives and the league’s work with entertainment partners. This story producer will be involved in all aspects of daily/weekly Original Content for all platforms of NFL Media. This position is responsible for managing/ overseeing content for features and short form content as well as project budgets, from ideation, pre-production, production thru post editing, delivery and programming.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with E&I leadership and decision-makers on a daily basis in terms of concepts/ideas, pre-production, production, post and delivery coordination.
- Produces features and elements from start to finish; including directing a crew, edit, delivery and managing a project budget.
- Travels to shoot(s) both domestically and internationally.
- Leads field production teams and makes decisions in edit to maximize storytelling, budget and efficiency.
- Formulates and pitches ideas for shows, documentaries, features and cross-platform elements.
- Works with NFL Media Group correspondents to execute talent-driven original content ideas.
- Coordinates graphics and other elements with NFL Media GFX departments.
- Communicates, on behalf of NFL Media Group, with various media outlets and other entities for film/video/still photos/sound to be used in edited pieces.
- Helps build production schedules and budgets to meet deadlines and follow best practices as set forth by the department.
- Collaborates and supports other team members and projects as needed.
- A creative team attitude is mandatory in all tasks requested from the smallest to largest.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience working in a progressively creative production environment.
- Good production skills related to storytelling, sports and talent management.
- A strong knowledge of production dynamics and working knowledge of the equipment and technologies in the field and edit bays.
- Strong communicator who can clearly pitch the vision of a series or project
- Ability to carry out a broad range of assignments that deal with story development, ever changing production hurdles and simultaneous deadlines across multiple platforms.
- A good decision maker with knowledge of football and sports history.
- Supervisory experience of production environment with good leadership skills.
- Good writing and copy-editing skills.
- Knowledge of television, feature and motion graphics.
- Working skill base in Adobe Creative Suite and the postproduction environment.
- Established camera directing skillset and understanding of documentary and verité directing/ producing.
- Good visual storytelling skills and knowledge of framing shots and graphics.
- Ability to produce both a color and audio mix/ sweeten session.
- Specific knowledge of television production techniques used in many production environments.
- Open to learn new skills and technologies required to conduct the job at the highest level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous production supervisory and leadership experience
- Previous Sporting League and camera/film work experience is preferred
Other Key Attributes / Characteristics
- Media Management and DIT experience is a plus.
- Skilled working in Adobe Creative Suit and Microsoft Office programs.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Oversees on location camera/ film crews, postproduction positions (editors, colorist, audio editors) and Production Assistants
Physical Demands
- Expect physical demands of crew work and travel with long production hours as necessary.
Travel
- Travel as needed to NFL Network Remote events, field shoots, on location production sets.
Salary / Pay Range

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
- This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
Salary
$1,700 - $1,800 USD
