Seasonal Game Statistics Support

Summary:

This role supports the accuracy and consistency of official NFL game statistics throughout the 2026 season. The position requires strong knowledge of NFL football including terminology, rules, positions, game structure, and personnel. The core focus of this role is applying high-level football knowledge and strong attention to detail to ensure all game information is correct and consistent across league systems. Responsibilities include real-time monitoring of live data feeds and detailed postgame statistical review.

This is a 7-month, seasonal role.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor real-time game statistics to ensure accuracy and consistency throughout every game

- Apply advanced football knowledge to identify discrepancies or unusual situations and make sound judgements based on careful review and attention to detail

- Utilize the NFL Guide for Statisticians and NFL Rulebook to validate statistical outcomes

- Conduct postgame reviews by comparing game statistics with video

- Prepare training materials and contribute feedback for official scoring staff to support leaguewide consistency

- Process weekly NCAA football statistics, including video and play-by-play data entry

- Identify and track player involvement on each play throughout the NFL season

- Perform additional departmental tasks as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree

- Strong knowledge of NFL football, including terminology, rules, positions, and players

- Prior football or sports industry experience preferred

Travel:

- None

 

Terms/Expected Hours of Work:

- In-person role, based out of New York City NFL Office

- Must be available to support and work all NFL games (nights and weekends) during the NFL season, including Holidays and Sundays

- 40+ Hours per Week

- Weekly Function: Monday-Friday

- Game Support Function: Weekends, Weeknights, Holidays
