What you'll do:

Are you a tech-savvy wizard with a knack for creativity? Do you have a passion for creating seamless online experiences and driving traffic to high-performance websites? If so, we want you on our Content Marketing Team!

As our Sr. Website Manager at NinjaTrader, you’ll serve as the mastermind behind our digital forefront and a powerhouse of technical knowledge to ensure our website is as seamless on the backend as it is on the front. You’ll leverage a mix of technical skills, marketing expertise, and project management capabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of web best practices, front-end development, UX, and SEO. This role reports directly to the Director of Content Marketing.

In this role you will:

  • Master Publisher & SEO Strategist:

    • Develop and implement cutting-edge SEO strategies to boost organic traffic and search engine rankings
    • Publish and manage blog posts, images, videos, news articles, and webpages for both NinjaTrader.com and NinjaTraderEcosystem.com
    • Regularly audit the website in accordance with Google updates
    • Optimize content and remove duplicate content
  • Project Management:

    • Lead web development projects in partnership with key cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Growth, UX)
    • Manage vendor relationships, including working with web development agencies to bring web-related projects to life
  • Technical Website Management:

    • Oversee and maintain the technical aspects of our website, including backend infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability
    • Partner with key stakeholders on updates and troubleshoot various website performance issues
  • Enhance User Experience:

    • Optimize site navigation, design, and content layout to improve engagement and conversion rates
    • Audit content to ensure it is up-to-date and relevant for visitors
    • Assist in A/B testing efforts
  • Analytics & Reporting:

    • Monitor, analyze, and report on website performance using tools like Google Analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making for continuous improvement
  • Collaboration on Content:

    • Work closely with Marketing and Content teams to ensure all web content is up-to-date, relevant, and optimized for SEO
    • Assist in creating new website content or auditing existing content for improvements
  • Innovation & Trend-Setting:

    • Stay ahead of industry trends by continuously researching and implementing the latest technologies and best practices in web development and SEO

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in website management or related field
  • BA or MS degree in a technical field or equivalent working experience
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple to-do lists and ad hoc tasks with urgency
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Kentico, WordPress, Drupal, and Hubspot
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development tools
  • Expertise in UX and SEO best practices and tools, with the ability to identify and execute opportunities in these areas
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with web analytics tools like GA4 and Search Console
  • Ability to work in a high-performing, fast-paced environment and pivot to ad hoc tasks as needed
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies
  • Team player mentality

Bonus points for:

  • Understanding of the financial and investment industries
  • Experience with CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization)

Introductory Period Overview:

First 30 Days:

  • Week 1: Review onboarding documents, learn about NinjaTrader and brand guidelines, meet peers and stakeholders, introduce yourself to vendors, and familiarize yourself with tech and tools
  • Week 2: Continue reviewing brand and content guidelines, get acquainted with organic Content Marketing processes, train on CMS SoPs, and conduct more meet-and-greets internally and with vendors
  • Weeks 3–4: Start handling day-to-day responsibilities and meet weekly with your direct manager

Second Month:

  • Continue day-to-day tasks and organize your personal 30-60-90 plan
  • Take ownership of meetings and vendor relationships
  • Begin managing tasks and moving projects forward

Third Month:

  • Finalize your 30-60-90 plan for the post-introductory period
  • Fully own day-to-day responsibilities with support from your manager and team as needed
  • Take full ownership of meetings, vendor relationships, and project management tasks

Compensation

The salary range for this role will be $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of up to 10%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).  

Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual PTO allowance begins at 15 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays. Additional details on our total compensation package and benefits are listed below.

Location: This role is based in Chicago, IL.
