Comfort Advisor

Houston, TX

Zephyr is a growing platform of local brands in the residential home services industry, spanning HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades. Our mission is to perfect the home services experience from the inside out—by investing in our technicians, supporting local leadership, and equipping our teams with the tools and resources to deliver trusted service in every home we enter.

We operate in multiple markets across the country, combining the local trust and expertise of each brand with centralized support across marketing, technology, operations, and finance. At Zephyr, we move with purpose—bold in our pursuit of excellence, grounded in transparency, and unified by our commitment to customers, teams, and community.

About the Role
Are you a people-person with a track record in retail, automotive, or in-home sales? Do you thrive when helping customers make big decisions that improve their lives? We’re looking for a driven and personable Comfort Advisor to join our residential HVAC team.

As a Comfort Advisor, you’ll meet with homeowners to evaluate their heating and cooling needs, provide honest recommendations, and offer solutions that improve comfort and air quality. Think of it like car sales—but instead of cars, you're helping people invest in their home comfort systems.

This is a relationship-driven role for someone who enjoys face-to-face interaction, consultative sales, and seeing the results of a job well done. You'll be backed by a well-organized operations team and supported with ongoing training.

What You'll Do

  • Meet with homeowners to assess HVAC needs and recommend the right solutions

  • Present replacement equipment and indoor air quality products in a clear, consultative way

  • Build trust by explaining options like you would for a friend or family member

  • Work with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff to installation and follow-through

  • Follow up with homeowners to answer questions and ensure satisfaction

  • Attend weekly trainings to sharpen your product knowledge and sales skills

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:

  • Have 4+ years of outside, retail, or in-home sales experience (automotive sales is a great fit!)

  • Are comfortable with high-ticket purchases and guiding customers through important decisions

  • Are a strong communicator and naturally good at building rapport

  • Are tech-savvy and can learn tablets and CRM systems quickly

  • Have an active driver’s license and are willing to travel locally for in-home appointments

  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and good at managing a personal sales pipeline

  • Have HVAC experience? That’s a plus—but not required

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive base pay + performance-based commission

  • Established local brand with a track record of quality

  • Ongoing training and career development

  • Supportive team culture with room for advancement

Pay Range: 100% commission with earning potential ranging from $100,000 to $300,000+ per year

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive Pay: Significant base salary and bonus opportunity
  • Benefits: We offer top-notch benefits!
    • Various medical, dental & vision plans, including 100% employer covered options for you and your family
    • 401(k) match up to 3.5%
    • 100% Company paid long & short-term disability and life insurance
    • Cell phone reimbursement and work-from-home stipend
    • Flexible spending accounts for health and dependent care
  • Training and Career Growth: We are scaling quickly and would support this person’s career growth and development
  • Paid Time Off: Company paid holidays, unlimited PTO, and a paid Parental Leave Policy

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
