DevOps Network Engineer (TS Clearance Required)

North Point Technology’s Spatial Solutions Division is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong networking expertise to help develop, integrate, deploy, and sustain mission-critical systems. This is a hands-on role where your technical leadership will directly support secure, cloud-based solutions that make a national impact.

This program requires employees to have an active TS clearance 

Responsibilities:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Support the deployment of microservices through a DevSecOps pipeline in a Linux-based, multi-tenant environment.
• Design, implement, and secure virtual networks in AWS.
• Implement and troubleshoot VPC network connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve VPC connectivity issues.
• Develop, update, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline code.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and deploy Docker containers.
• Review Git code and create/maintain supporting engineering documentation.
• Support developer deployments and testing within the environment.
• Provide technical guidance across all capabilities and microservices.
• Author and maintain DevOps documentation.
• Conduct security remediation as identified in scans.
• Perform additional technical tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

• A proactive self-starter with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of custom code development and code reviews.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab functionality, scripting, and error troubleshooting.
• Experience with AWS services/technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS).
• Knowledge of AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling).
• Experience supporting development testing.
• Strong background in cloud-based architectures.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps workflows and methodologies.
• Skilled in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of software development and sustainment best practices.
• Experience using team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Must have an active Top Secret Security Clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI post-hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Education: BS in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 6+ years of experience. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Active TS/SCI required.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS Lambda and AWS ECS.
• Strong background troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Docker containers.
• AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• Linux certifications.
• Experience with ArcGIS or other geospatial technologies.
