As a Controllership Senior Specialist, You'll Be Expected To:
- Analyze and understand how financial products work in the markets, as well as their respective regulations.
- Coordinate and align the Road map of Controllership with the road map of the Products.
- Analyze the financial events and data structure of new products and features and its impacts on accounting, taxes and cash flows in order to determine their journal entries, according to accounting and regulatory frameworks.
- Research and analyze technical accounting, including the assessment of the impact of new accounting regulations and pronouncements, to ensure the product’s accounting is in compliance with the applicable standards.
- Manage cross-functional initiatives regarding accounting, reporting and systems-related partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Tax and other stakeholders, in all the countries where we operate.
- Work alongside Engineers and Product Managers, collaborating with specification, design, and implementation of data architecture for building solutions, improving and automatizing processes and controls for Controllership.
- Produce and maintain proper documentation of product accounting and regulatory reporting definitions.
We Are Looking For a Controllership Senior Specialist who Has:
- Experience analyzing large amount of information with data tools such as SQL ,Scala, python or any other
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar
- Professional experience of 8 years working in financial institutions, fintech industries or big 4.
- Advanced English level. Must be comfortable with oral and written communication.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge including IFRS and BACEN-GAAP
- Relevant experience designing product accounting journal entries, accounting conciliations, and monthly accounting reports, as well as creating internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance of product accounting and regulatory reporting;
- Ability to tackle complex problems involving a number of topics/variables, such as business, regulatory, operations and product features.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills and able to communicate well with different stakeholders
- Previous experience with financial instruments accounting is highly desirable.

Our Nu Way of Working
Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of expertise. For every eight or twelve weeks of remote work, one will be at the office.
