Who You Are: As Nutrabolt’s Deduction Analyst you will serve as a lead strategic finance partner, validating check requests/deductions and matching to planned trade promos or designated expense types, requesting repayment for invalid deductions and providing insightful analysis on trade/expense spend activities and trends.  You will partner with AR, Finance, Sales and Supply Chain to help improve trade ROI and reduce expense spending.           

What You're Good At:

  • Evaluate, validate and clear customer payment requests/ deductions in accordance with company guidelines
  • For valid check requests/deductions, match to appropriate trade promotion; for invalid claims, file repayment claim with customer with a timely manner
  • Interface with key stakeholders across the organization to provide actionable data that helps improve profitability
  • Display a continuous improvement mindset
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports regarding deductions and settlements
  • Improving sales performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management
  • Reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data
    • In this role your goals and KPIs will be focused around:
      • Open Deduction Aging
      • Open Deduction Balance
      • Deduction clearing accuracy
      • Expense spend reduction
      • Invalid deduction repayment/recovery

What You Contribute: 

  • 2+ years in an analytical role, preferably within the CPG industry
  • Basic accounting and P&L understanding
  • Proficient with MS Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)
  • Familiarity with Walmart and other retail companies a plus
  • Driven and passionate about growing the business and achieving strategic milestones
  • Intellectually curious
  • Is a problem solver
  • Adaptable, a quick learner and takes it upon themselves to go figure it out
  • Proven success working with cross-functional partners
  • Proactive and always one step ahead of the game
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
