Senior Coordinator, Marketing & Communications

Summary of Position:

NVE’s internal Marketing & Communications department acts as the external force to generate clients and leads through content marketing (social media, blog posts, newsletters, etc.), PR (media relations, press releases, editorial coverage), thought leadership (bylined articles, speaking opportunities), industry awards, and other initiatives and projects.   

The ideal candidate should have a passion for the marketing and experiential industries, be a strong copywriter, have a knack for social media with an emphasis on content creation, be highly organized and extremely attentive to detail , with great communication and project management skills.   

The position will primarily focus on NVE’s current marketing initiatives while also launching the marketing framework for NVE’s sister companies: COGNITION, Treehouse Fabrication & Scenic and The Future Party. This role will directly support and report to the Marketing & Communications Director. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Brand, Social & Sales Marketing Strategy 

  • Assist with development and publishing/distribution of newsletters, social media content, case studies website content and key communications 
  • Community management (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.) and execution of social media strategy (with creative support) 
  • Coordinate agency award submission process including drafting copy, organizing Awards Calendar, and inputting submission 
  • Support development of synergistic marketing processes across NVE, COGNITION, Treehouse Fabrication & Scenic and The Future Party 
  • Liaise with project teams to procure assets and information from recent/upcoming events
  • Support case study development and publishing

Department Support

  • Maintain trackers including Content Calendar, Awards Database, Budget Tracker, etc., as well as consolidate marketing assets 
  • Project manage across all marketing efforts and initiatives 
  • Investigate current trends in the media, brand, and agency landscape 
  • Attend department meetings and assist with meeting preparation, note-taking, recaps, action items, etc. as needed 
  • Support reporting process including media monitoring, website traffic updates, social media analytics, etc. 
  • Coordinate with AP and Finance to create work orders and route invoices 

Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 – 3 years work experience in marketing, advertising, social media or public relations 
  • Agency background preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite
  • Can write effectively, persuasively and professionally for a variety of mediums (social, website, awards, etc.)
  • Experience managing brand/corporate social media channels 
  • Are process-oriented and highly organized 
  • Are tenacious – you are always ready to sink your teeth into a new experience and are eager to learn 
  • Have exceptional time management skills 
  • Value collaboration yet have the confidence to recommend and own new ideas 
  • Are an eternal optimist – a positive thinker whose optimism is contagious
  • Understand and are fascinated by culture, subcultures, and the forces that move them
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing needs/priorities, and collaborate effectively as a team member 
  • Have an interest in marketing, advertising and events
  • Strong communication and project management skills

Extra Credit:

  • Proficiency in Photoshop + other content creation tools
  • Previous experience with managing/updating Wordpress websites
  • Knowledge of social media metrics and ability to analyze the data 

Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time 

Location:

We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York. The ideal candidate is located in the New York City or Los Angeles metro areas, however, we will consider remote candidates for this role.

Salary Estimation: [$25 - $26/hr]

This is a non-exempt role eligible for OT in accordance with local law. NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented hourly range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
