Senior Financial Analyst (Hybrid @ Bellevue, WA)

About the role:

OfferUp is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a critical role supporting our Sales and Engineering teams. This will involve developing financial models and forecasts, assisting in annual planning and budget processes, and strategic partnership with leadership in financial decision making.

This role is a hybrid role and requires you to be in the Bellevue, Washington office at least 2 days a week.

Here’s more of what you will get to do:

Revenue Planning & Growth Strategy

  • Subscription Modeling: Architect and maintain accurate subscription forecast models in support of the B2B sales team
  • KPI Definition and Tracking: Collaborate cross functionally to identify, define, and report on key performance indicators
  • Strategic Partnership: Partner directly with executive and product leaders to identify revenue growth opportunities and perform ad-hoc analysis in support of new revenue initiatives

Engineering & Cloud Finance

  • Tech Stack Modeling: Partner with the Engineering organization to model and forecast costs for major technology and cloud vendors (e.g., AWS)
  • Vendor Contract Analysis: Dive deep into vendor contracts to track upcoming renewal dates and usage terms, proactively identifying efficiencies to optimize spend
  • Negotiation Support: Assist in contract negotiations with technology vendors to maximize value and ensure alignment with budget targets

Corporate Finance & Planning

  • Annual Planning: Assist leadership in driving the annual budgeting and strategic planning processes
  • Accounting Partnership: Support the Accounting organization during key financial cycles, including month-end close, external audits, and company valuation processes

You’ll thrive in this role if you have: 

  • Experience: 3-6 years of progressive FP&A experience in a corporate environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex modeling, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Core Competencies: Proven experience managing the budgeting and forecasting processes for both Revenue and Operating Expenses
  • Communication: Experience presenting financial results to executive leadership 

Helpful, but not required 

  • Familiarity with cloud vendors such as AWS
  • Experience in the online marketplace or high-tech industry
  • Self starter mentality; a sense of humor

Compensation Range: $125,000 -$145,000

OfferUp offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. Individual salaries within our ranges are determined through a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. All roles will receive equity in OfferUp as part of their compensation, the amount of equity varying depending on the individual’s level and experience.

Benefits (all US roles): In addition to our compensation package, this role is eligible to enroll in health insurance, healthcare savings and spending accounts, retirement savings benefits (401(k) plan with match), basic and voluntary life insurance, disability benefits, and paid time off for sick leave, family and/or medical leave, vacation, and 12 company holidays. In regard to vacation time, OfferUp has a flexible vacation policy, and, in general, full-time, exempt employees will be expected to take 3-5 weeks (15-30 days) of pre-planned vacation time per year. Vacation needs are flexible and will naturally vary from year to year based on individual circumstances and business needs. In regard to sick time, all full-time employees (exempt and non-exempt) will be granted 12 days (96 hours) of sick time per year (pro-rated if the start date is other than January 1).
