About the Opportunity

As a Senior Manager in the Compliance Technology & Data Strategy function, you will play a key role in shaping the firm’s approach to governance, oversight, and strategic development of our transaction monitoring (TM) models, systems, and supporting data. This includes expanding coverage across both fiat and crypto transactions, with a strong emphasis on blockchain analytics, cross-asset typology detection, and monitoring of decentralized finance (DeFi) risks. You will provide strategic oversight / governance, conduct independent validation and effectiveness testing of transaction monitoring models, drive data quality and remediation strategies, and help define the future-state compliance technology roadmap for TM. You will also support regulatory readiness and examination preparation related to TM models and data. This is a highly visible role with significant cross-functional engagement across Compliance, FCC, Product, Engineering, Risk, and Internal Audit. It offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of innovation in FCC model governance in a rapidly evolving regulatory and business environment.
In addition to governance & oversight responsibilities, you will play a key role in defining the long-term compliance technology strategy for transaction monitoring — helping to drive modernization of TM platforms, including integration of blockchain intelligence tools, on-chain and off-chain data pipelines, enhanced visibility into cross-chain and cross-asset risk typologies, improved model explainability, vendor integrations, and alignment with evolving regulatory expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with FCC program leads and Compliance Product developers to contribute to the definition and execution of the compliance technology roadmap for transaction monitoring, including platform enhancements, model improvements, and advanced analytics.
  • Lead independent testing, validation and oversight of TM models that monitor both fiat and crypto transactions, including rule-based scenarios, ML-enhanced TM models, and alert suppression logic
  • Identify strategic opportunities to improve TM model explainability, data pipelines, and typology coverage through collaboration with Product, Engineering, and FCC leadership
  • Develop and execute testing strategies to assess model fitness, typology coverage, Type I and Type II errors, and regulatory defensibility in partnership with TM leads
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to review model design and to provide credible challenge related to model design and model implementation, while maintaining independent oversight
  • Monitor ongoing TM model performance and suggest enhancements to the firm’s TM model monitoring framework
  • Define and oversee FCC-critical data quality monitoring for TM models; lead cross-functional remediation of data quality issues impacting TM performance
  • Develop frameworks and collaborate with product developers and FCC leads to produce reports and documentation to support regulatory readiness for examinations (e.g., NYDFS, BitLicense, HKMA, MAS, FCA etc.)
  • Maintain thorough model documentation and audit trails, ensuring full transparency for internal and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Review model changes, enhancements, and results of periodic reviews; advise on governance best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support responses to internal audits, regulatory reviews, and external examinations related to model risk.
  • Stay abreast of emerging regulatory expectations and industry best practices related to TM model governance and validation
  • Support the strategic evolution of the firm’s TM technology and data architecture in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders

What We Look For In You

  • 8+ years of experience in FCC/AML compliance, FCC model validation, compliance technology, or related domains
  • Experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic) or familiarity with on-chain data and smart contract transaction patterns
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related quantitative field.
  • Deep understanding of transaction monitoring models and systems, including rule-based TM and ML-enhanced TM
  • Strong familiarity with AML typologies, typology coverage testing, and regulatory expectations for TM effectiveness
  • Experience conducting model validation and/or model risk management in a highly regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of compliance-critical data management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks
  • Deep expertise in a wide range of programming languages like Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, and experienced with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Metabase)
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate complex validation findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (Compliance, Product, Engineering, Risk, Internal Audit)
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
