What You’ll Get to Do
The CNC Programmer II is focused on entering all custom patterns into the CAD system for production, interpreting and entering sketches to be produced, assisting, and supporting team.
This role is perfect for an individual who is self-driven, organized, and quality focused. A vital member of the Production Administration Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Create CNC programs to perform intermediate fabrication from provided orders.
- Make changes to pre-existing CNC programs.
- Actively catch programming and order errors
- Enter all custom patterns into the Computer Aided Design (CAD) system.
- Interpret and enter sketches to be produced by CNC Operators
- Collaborate with estimators to review and measure templates to ensure specification compliance and accuracy of all orders
- Confirm all custom hardware sent from Vendors and Customers and ensure they are correct before they move to shop floor.
- Schedule and Production Date Fabrication appropriately and to the correct capacity.
- Proactively communicate with customers/estimators to ensure orders are entered in a timely fashion with the correct specifications
- Backup and train CNC Operators and Fabricators
- Assist with Purchasing material for fabricated jobs
- Help maintain accurate and healthy Inventory levels and assist with month end procedures
- Support customer service staff in answering phones as required
- All other additional responsibilities as requested
What We Are Looking For
- Auto-CAD (2005 or later) Training Certificate with 2–4 years of work experience
- Must possess the ability to read and interpret contract drawings and customer sketches.
- Ability to create and modify drawings in CAD/CAM software.
- High mathematical and logical aptitude, especially with fractions and decimals
- Accuracy in data entry and strong problem-solving skills with minimal guidance
- Preferred 2 years of customer service experience
- Preferred one year fabrication on Doors/Frames
Position Pay Range
$24.62 - $34.47 USD
