Role:  Social Media Content Creator

Location:  Milan, Italy

About the role:

As Social Media Content Creator, you'll sit at the intersection of strategy and craft — responsible for both planning and producing social content that engages audiences and delivers measurable results. Embedded within the client team in Milan, you'll work closely with Brand Managers, the wider studio team, and the Account Director, contributing to day-to-day content operations and longer-term channel strategy.

This is a role for someone who understands how social platforms work and how brands can participate authentically — equally comfortable shaping a quarterly editorial calendar as producing a short-form video or managing an active community conversation.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the development and management of the quarterly social editorial calendar across Facebook and Instagram, with input into emerging channels including TikTok.
  • Produce and edit static and video content for social — including graphic design, photography, and short-form video optimised for each platform's format and audience.
  • Manage and grow the brand's social communities: monitoring conversations, responding to comments and direct messages, and maintaining a positive, on-brand presence.
  • Identify cultural moments and social trends, developing real-time marketing content that creates meaningful engagement opportunities.
  • Contribute to social media strategy for both established and emerging channels, bringing evidence-based recommendations to the studio and client team.
  • Report on social media performance regularly, translating data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Use AI tools — including large language models and image generation platforms — to enhance content quality and accelerate production workflows.
  • Represent the consumer's perspective within the team, keeping audience sentiment close and feeding that insight into content and strategy decisions.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A strong background in social media content creation within a digital or creative agency, with experience managing brand channels across Facebook and Instagram.
  • Demonstrable ability to plan, produce, and manage social content end-to-end — from editorial strategy through to community management and performance reporting.
  • Proficiency in creative production tools, including Adobe Photoshop and After Effects or equivalent software.
  • Familiarity with TikTok — its format, culture, and content conventions — is a strong advantage.
  • An editorial mindset: the ability to identify angles, write copy, and produce content that connects with real audiences.
  • Analytical confidence: comfortable with social media metrics and able to turn data into clear recommendations.
  • Professional proficiency in Italian and English — both are essential for this role, given the client environment and content requirements.
  • Based in Milan, or able to commute to the client's offices in Milan two to three times per week.
