Role: Producer

Location: Cape Town, South Africa (Hybrid, 3 days a week in studio)

About the role:

As Producer, you'll lead regional delivery for a major global brand, managing high volumes of localised assets across multiple languages, channels, and markets. You'll oversee a team of Integrated Project Managers (IPMs), set campaign timelines, track delivery progress, and serve as the central point of contact for production stakeholders across the region.

Reporting to the Account Lead, you'll work closely with channel, and studio leads to manage risks, escalate where needed, and maintain consistently high delivery standards across all campaigns.

What you will be doing:

  • Own regional production delivery, ensuring all localised assets align with client objectives and brand guidelines
  • Build and maintain campaign timelines to SLA; develop pipeline forecasts to identify production peaks and resource the team accordingly
  • Brief IPMs on campaign specifics, timings, and scope; review and sign off adapted timings based on local market requirements
  • Track regional pre-production tasks including translations, price validation, global master approvals, and market participation
  • Serve as the primary client contact for timeline and delivery queries; escalate production risks, resource challenges, and issues to the Account Lead and Channel Leads
  • Lead daily studio stand-ups to keep production on track and provide an escalation point for IPMs
  • Line manages a team of Integrated Project Managers, providing clear direction, day-to-day support, and development opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Sales Market clients and media agencies
  • Oversee digital and print campaigns across owned and bought media, managing multiple campaigns, languages, and channels simultaneously
  • Review global campaign briefs and forecast data to build production foresight and plan capacity
  • Support the Account Lead on monthly reporting, QBRs, invoicing, and out-of-scope requests
  • Advance automation and more efficient ways of working across the studio
  • Manage project-level production budgets including cost estimation, purchase orders, invoicing, and reconciliation
  • Source and negotiate with freelancers and production partners to maintain quality and cost efficiency
  • Support the Account Lead with cost estimates for additional resource where needed

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Broad production experience across digital, print, and motion, covering owned and bought media
  • A track record of delivering high-volume, multi-market campaigns across multiple languages and channels
  • Experience line managing and developing production teams, including onsite and offshore
  • Strong project management skills with confidence in assessing and responding to production risk in real time
  • A clear, direct communication style and the ability to build trust with clients, media agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with forecasting, resource planning, and tracking project burn rates
  • Close attention to detail and a consistent focus on delivery quality
  • Familiarity with FMCG brands particularly in Beauty or Fashion is a plus, not a requirement
  • Experience managing project-level production budgets, including cost estimation, supplier negotiation, and reconciliation
  • Confident with purchase order processes and invoice management
  • Advanced proficiency with Gen AI tools relevant to production, used to improve workflow efficiency and output quality
  • Experience designing AI-assisted processes for yourself and your team
  • Ability to guide others on effective AI tool use and the critical evaluation of AI outputs
  • An agentic approach to complex production challenges breaking problems into components and identifying efficient, adaptable solutions
  • A clear understanding of where AI adds value and where human oversight remains essential
