Role: GenAI Integrated Designer / Multimedia Designer | Beauty AI Studio 

Location: Mumbai, India  

Work Timings: 6:30am to 3:30pm    

 

About the role:    

This is an opportunity to join the Beauty AI Studio Creative Hub, OLIVER's dedicated in-house studio embedded within the Unilever Beauty & Wellbeing programme, as a Gen AI Integrated Designer  — delivering premium motion content, AI-powered creative production, and multi-market campaign assets for some of the world's most iconic beauty brands, including Dove, TRESemmé, Pond's, and Simple.  

Beauty is where craft, technology, and emotion converge. Based on-site in Mumbai and creating for markets across regions, you'll contribute to the origination, concepting, and production of social-first motion content, hero campaign films, and retail/e-commerce assets — working alongside Gen AI tools and established creative workflows to produce beauty content at quality and scale. Your feel for beauty aesthetic, growing proficiency in Gen AI design, and ability to apply human craft judgment to AI-assisted output will make you a valued contributor at the heart of the Beauty AI Studio Creative Hub.

As a Gen AI Integrated Designer within the Beauty AI Studio Creative Hub, you sit at the intersection of craft, technology, and beauty storytelling. You are responsible for producing motion content across social-first formats, campaign films, and retail assets for Unilever Beauty & Wellbeing brands — including Dove, TRESemmé, Pond's, Simple, and beyond — working within established creative direction and quality standards.  

You'll apply your design and motion skills and growing Gen AI proficiency to produce content that meets the visual language of the beauty category, contributing to AI-assisted workflows and helping to deliver consistently high-quality output across the studio's active workstreams. You'll work closely with senior creatives, taking and acting on direction, while developing your own creative voice and capability — and contributing to a studio culture that takes craft, quality, and responsible AI use seriously.  

  

What you will be doing:   

Day-to-day, you'll produce social-first motion content, animation, campaign films, and retail/e-commerce assets, working within established creative direction and quality standards. You'll apply Gen AI motion tools — including text-to-video, image-to-video, and AI-assisted compositing — within the studio's workflows, contributing to prompting frameworks and supporting the direction of AI agents for art direction, retouching, and static design. 

What sets this role apart is the combination of beauty craft and Gen AI proficiency it demands. You'll need a developing but genuine eye for beauty aesthetics — colour grading, skin texture, light quality, and product rendering — alongside real working experience with Gen AI motion tools and the critical judgment to know when AI output meets the standard and when human craft must lead. You'll work closely with senior creatives, grow your capability within an AI-forward production environment, and contribute to a studio that holds the visual language of premium beauty to an uncompromising standard across every deliverable. 

  • Produce social-first motion content, animation, special motion effects, short and long-form video, campaign films, and retail/e-commerce assets for Dove, TRESemmé, Pond's, Simple, and other Unilever Beauty & Wellbeing brands.  
  • Apply Gen AI tools within established workflows — including text-to-video, image-to-video, and AI-assisted compositing — producing content that meets the studio's quality and beauty aesthetic standards.  
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Gen AI motion workflows for the Beauty AI Studio Creative Hub, including prompting frameworks and style references.  
  • Support the direction of AI agents for art direction, retouching, and static design — applying clear quality criteria and escalating to senior creatives where outputs require further intervention.  
  • Apply a developing eye for beauty aesthetic to all motion and AI-assisted creative output: skin texture, light quality, colour grading, product rendering, and brand tone held to the standard the category demands.  
  • Adapt and localise campaign creative ensuring cultural relevance, brand consistency, and platform optimisation across assigned markets and channels.  
  • Collaborate with creative strategists, producers, and senior designers to translate brand briefs into compelling motion narratives — from concept through to delivery.  
  • Receive and act on creative feedback with clarity and an open mindset — applying direction from senior creatives to improve output and meet delivery standards.  
  • Contribute to the studio's collective knowledge — sharing discoveries about Gen AI tools, prompting techniques, and motion workflows as you develop your own practice.  

   

What you need to be great in this role:   

Motion Craft and Technical Skills:  

  • Solid motion design skills across 2D, with growing experience in 3D — and a portfolio that demonstrates work in beauty or adjacent premium categories, with clear evidence of craft and attention to detail.  
  • Proficiency with Gen AI design & motion tools, including text-to-video, image-to-video, and AI-assisted compositing workflows — with curiosity and commitment to develop this skillset further.  
  • Working proficiency in industry-standard motion and post-production applications (After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent).  
  • Experience contributing to AI-assisted creative workflows — with an understanding of where AI supports craft and where human judgment is required.  
  • Developing sensitivity to beauty aesthetics: colour grading, skin and texture rendering, light, product photography, and the visual language of premium beauty across digital and social formats.  

Creative Contribution and Collaboration: 

  • Ability to take a brand brief or creative direction and translate it into motion output with precision and care.  
  • Collaborative approach to working within a creative team — receptive to direction, constructive with feedback, and proactive in flagging issues or ideas.  
  • Experience working within established quality benchmarks and content production workflows.  
  • Clear, professional communication with internal creative and production teams.  

Experience and Market Knowledge  

  • Experience delivering social-first motion content, animation, short and long-form video, and retail/e-commerce assets within a content studio, agency, or in-house environment.  
  • Familiarity with the aesthetic standards of beauty — an understanding of what premium looks like across skincare, haircare, and wellness categories.  
  • Solid understanding of platform-specific requirements across Meta, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and retail media environments.  
  • Experience working across multi-market campaigns is an advantage.  

Gen AI & Agentic Thinking: 

  • Proficiency with Gen AI design and motion tools to enhance output quality and production efficiency.  
  • Experience building personal AI workflows to improve how you work — and openness to developing more advanced prompting and workflow skills within the studio context.  
  • Agentic approach to production problem-solving: able to break down a multi-step brief, identify the right tools and approach, and deliver with consistency.  
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs — recognising where results meet quality standards and where human craft or additional direction is needed.  
  • Curiosity about where AI is heading in beauty and motion content, and willingness to share learnings with the wider team.  
  • Formal qualifications are welcome but not required. Equivalent experience counts. Experience can be gained through work, study, volunteering, or self-directed learning.
