Senior Software Engineer
What You’ll Need:
- 8+ years of software development work experience
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training or work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to communicate complex topics in an effective and concise manner
- Proven expertise in your technology of choice. Ideally full-stack web development experience using Go, Python, React, API design, and Postgres
- Strong engineering fundamentals: excellent coding and debugging skills, software/computer architecture, operating systems and algorithms
- Strong sense of ownership and customer focus
About the Role
The Pricing Tooling team is responsible for critical interfaces with pricing predictions, decisions, and workflows. The team’s work is foundational in providing pricing operators and stakeholders across the company with reliable access to the artifacts generated from comprehensive pricing research and modeling via innovative tooling, workflows, and APIs. Solutions that the team builds not only streamline operational workflows but also significantly improve our overall decision-making efficiency.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving our pricing operations through technological innovation. This role is perfect for someone who is not only passionate about technology but also driven to create systems that help our operators make better pricing decisions.
What You’ll Do:
- Actively contribute to all phases of the software development cycle, from ideation to release, prioritizing both the immediate business impact and long-term sustainability
- Understand customer needs and business drivers and build tooling features that both meet the immediate need and fit into the larger tooling platform vision
- Participate in defining team’s roadmap and technical strategy
- Play an active role in hiring and mentoring other engineers
- Promote a positive, engaged engineering culture focused on fast delivery of high-impact, high-quality products
