ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Clinical Liaison to be an on-the-ground leader of growth for Overstory Health’s best-in-class innovative PHP & IOP care model. Our Clinical Liaison will report to the Head of Business Development and will play a critical role in driving the success of our outreach initiatives.  

As an early team member at our first center, Clinical Liaisons will establish strong relationships with referral partners ensuring that those in critical need of our services get seamless access to Overstory. This position involves building and managing relationships with clinical partners, identifying referral sources, and ensuring that patients and providers are well-informed about Overstory Health’s behavioral health programs. As the Clinical Liaison, you will assess patients for Overstory suitability and coordinate admissions with the clinical team.  

As the face of Overstory Health in the Greater Boston community, you will be instrumental in expanding our reach and solidifying our presence in the local market. 

Target compensation for this role is $100,000 (70% base and 30% variable). The selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, flexible time off, and access to a 401k plan with company match up to 4% of income.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Strategic Outreach: Proactively and independently develop and execute against an outreach and engagement plan, building strong relationships with community partners.  
  • Consultative Role: Act as a consultant to community, including emergency room case managers / charge nurses, discharge planners, therapists, psychiatrists, health systems, managed care organizations, schools, etc. to design and implement strategies to better support and engage referral partners.  
  • Growth: Achieve census targets in collaboration with admissions and clinical teams, while ensuring a seamless patient experience. 
  • Resource Expert: Develop a deep understanding of Overstory Health to serve as a valuable source of information on intermediate levels of care in mental health (e.g., PHP & IOP), ensuring that patients and providers understand the benefits of Overstory Health’s programs. 
  • Relationship Management: Utilize a customer relationship management system to manage daily outreach activities and build strong, lasting relationships with referral sources across priority markets. 
  • Educational Outreach: Lead various educational meetings, marketing presentations, and networking events, both in person and via conference calls, to promote Overstory Health’s offerings with a variety of stakeholders. 
  • Market Feedback: Gather and synthesize feedback from partners, patients, and stakeholders to inform marketing and product strategies. 

 

IS THIS CONSIDERED A “SALES” ROLE? 

This role involves educating and "selling" the concept of Overstory Health to patients and providers. You’ll be introducing a transformative accessible care model designed to improve mental health outcomes by addressing both clinical and non-clinical needs. WHAT ARE THE HOURS FOR THIS POSITION? 

The standard work hours for this position are Monday through Friday during regular business hours. However, you may occasionally attend events in the evenings or on weekends as needed. 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree, required. Degrees in nursing, social work or related field preferred 
  • Have at least one year of experience in a role with similar or relevant job duties, such as sales, account management, customer service, or community outreach 
  • Have 2+ years of prior healthcare experience. Past roles such as discharge planner, case manager, transitional care coordinator, within a hospital or behavioral health setting are preferred  
  • Have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect and communicate effectively at all levels of an organization 
  • Must be based in Greater Boston. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally for meetings with potential clinical partners.
