Growth Marketing Manager - San Francisco
Perplexity is revolutionizing the search industry and has emerged as one of the top AI consumer applications. By pairing real-time internet search with large language models, Perplexity is able to offer more accurate answers that are up-to-date and include citations. To further scale our growth, we are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to join our team and drive paid acquisition forward. You will build out channels from 0 to 1 for both web and mobile app campaigns, find unique messaging points, content types, and creatives that drive efficiency, and be data obsessed to reduce bloat and cannibalization.
You will armed with agencies, engineering, and design resources, but we expect you to build out this function from scratch. You should be a Perplexity power user with a deep understanding of the space and have a passion for spreading knowledge. You are excited to go from 0 to 1.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute data-driven growth strategies across paid channels including search, social, and display advertising
- Own end-to-end campaign management with a focus on optimizing to deep funnel metrics
- Analyze user behavior and conversion funnels to identify product opportunities to drive landing page conversion
- Lead A/B testing and experimentation across marketing campaigns to maximize ROI
- Manage attribution platforms and MMPs like Singular
- Monitor and optimize key performance metrics including CPA, LTV, activation rate, and retention
Qualifications
- Proven track record managing multi-million dollar performance marketing budgets in consumer-facing companies
- Deep expertise in paid acquisition channels (Search, Social, Display)
- Strong analytical skills with intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency. The interview process will include a SQL proficiency test.
- Advanced understanding of growth strategies
- Audit all channels, existing campaigns, creatives, and dashboards
- Work with the data team to build the foundational dashboards and attribution
- Define a series of hypotheses and creative experiments
- Begin executing and scaling quickly, with a focus on Social and Search
The cash compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $210,000.
