The Role

We are seeking a Revenue & Project Accountant to join our Dublin-based finance team. This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant or someone with 1–2 years post-qualification experience, looking to develop deep expertise in billing operations, revenue analytics, and project accounting within a dynamic global organisation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end monthly billing cycle, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition, and providing insightful analytics to support commercial decision-making. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, FP&A, and Operations, and will contribute to continuous process improvements across billing and revenue workflows.

 

Core Responsibilities

Billing & Revenue Operations

  • Support the end-to-end monthly billing cycle, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely invoice generation.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations teams to validate billing inputs, contract terms, and pricing structures.
  • Monitor and resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring alignment between contracts, Salesforce data, and financial records.
  • Drive improvements in billing processes, automation, and controls.

 

Revenue Accounting

  • Assist in the monthly revenue close process, including:
    • Preparation of revenue journals and accruals
    • Deferred revenue and contract asset reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards (IFRS / US GAAP) and internal policies.
  • Support balance sheet reconciliations and revenue-related reporting.

 

Revenue Analytics & Insights

  • Deliver revenue and billing analytics, including variance analysis and trend reporting.
  • Provide insights into revenue performance, billing accuracy, and operational KPIs.
  • Support forecasting and planning processes through data-driven analysis.

 

Project Accounting

  • Support and lead ad hoc projects across revenue, billing, and finance operations.
  • Partner with subject matter experts across Revenue Accounting, Billing, and Salesforce to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the billing and revenue cycle.
  • Analyse current processes and systems to identify bottlenecks and recommend practical, data-driven solutions.

 

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Leverage systems such as Salesforce (billing inputs) and Oracle Financials (accounting) to ensure data integrity across the revenue cycle.
  • Support system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in billing and revenue processes.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sales, FP&A, Legal, and external auditors.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries related to revenue and billing.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of policies, procedures, and internal controls.

 

Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified, with 0–2 years PQE.
  • Background in billing, revenue accounting, and analytics.
  • Experience or exposure to:
    • Salesforce (billing or CRM data management)
    • Oracle Financials or similar ERP system
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement.

 

Working Arrangements 

This is a Hybrid position with [weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home]. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions/geographies including but not limited to EMEA, USA and APAC).
