About the Role:

Revenue Operations is responsible for driving financial success through creating, maintaining, and continually improving the operations, platforms and intelligence that support our go-to-market teams. This team works cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance, ensuring efficiency and accuracy throughout the customer journey, from lead generation to revenue recognition. Revenue Operations is a pivotal  partner in helping our go-to-market teams achieve their revenue goals.

As the Manager of Quote to Cash Platform at PitchBook, you will be at the forefront of our finance initiatives, leading our efforts to drive effectiveness, scalability, and optimization of finance operations through our enterprise tools, automation, and systems. You will work with key stakeholders, internal customers (Finance, Sales, Customer Success, etc.), and enterprise engineers to devise innovative solutions that enhance our finance strategies, streamline processes, and drive measurable business outcomes.   

Within this team, you will drive the value stream for a cross-functional team of business analysts, engineers, and testers – overseeing that all improvements meet expected value propositions and align with Finance Operations and RevOps strategic objectives. Treating our Finance Platform (the enterprise tools, code/low code, integrations, etc.) as a product, you will act as the Product Manager (PM). You will deeply understand your customers' needs and operational workflows. You will build and maintain a roadmap reflecting the most valuable, focused improvements that will achieve business objectives and strategies, along the way developing requirements, identifying features, and tracking success metrics. You will use your in-depth knowledge of enterprise tools and systems (e.g. Salesforce CPQ, Oracle ERP, Sidetrade) and your understanding of how integrated systems work to help define complete business solutions. You and your team of business analysts and tool administrators will focus your efforts on what we should build, why we should build it, and why we should build it now, collaborating closely with Enterprise Automation Engineering to determine the best solution to meet those needs.    

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer Understanding: Deep understanding of your internal customers' (PitchBook revenue-driving business teams) needs, pain points, and opportunities to drive their efficiency and improve business outcomes 
  • Strategy & Objectives: Own and drive our Finance Platform strategy and objectives (OKRs), taking ownership and accountability for important, broadly scoped, often ambiguous problems into clear definitions 
  • Finance Platform as a Product: Define and prioritize the Finance Platform roadmap that delivers value for your internal customers finance enterprise systems (e.g. Salesforce CPQ, Oracle, Sidetrade etc.), while meeting compliance requirements (SOX, ITGC) 
  • Functional Specifications: Develop detailed functional specifications for changes (e.g. tools, code / low code, workflow, data) to Finance Platform tools and systems from prioritized requirements 
  • Operational Expertise: Serve as an expert in understanding how our enterprise tools and systems meet finance end users’ operational needs and drive operational improvement. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and implement best practices for scalability and efficiency 
  • Metrics Orientation: Consistently measure Finance Platform NPS, engagement, and usage metrics to ensure Platform capabilities are driving their intended result. Identify KPIs that drive decision-making for Platform enhancements and priorities 
  • Technology Alignment: Identify technologies that meet Finance needs, including CRM, ERP, enablement, analytics, and other tools. Lead the evaluation, identification of requirements for, and proper utilization of those tools 
  • Industry Trends: Stay current with advancements in finance technologies, digital trends, and industry best practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage 
  • Team Leadership: Lead and build a team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure operational excellence and alignment with business objectives 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other Revenue Operation team, Sales, Customer Sucess, and Enterprise Technology teams to align Finance Platform initiatives with broader business goals and ensure seamless integration across departments 
  • Culture Building: Support the vision and values of the company through role-modeling and encouraging desired behaviors. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Revenue Operations team and across the organization 
  • Company Initiatives: Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in finance operations, business process improvement, or related roles within a fast-paced environment 
  • 5+ years with Salesforce Billing or experience with similar billing platforms 
  • 3+ years experience with Salesforce CPQ 
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team, with a track record of fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture 
  • Experience applying product management methodology and deliverables, including leading customer conversations, establishing customer-centric requirements, and writing functional design specification documents to satisfy the requirements 
  • Experience with product management and software development lifecycle tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and draw actionable insights to optimize sales and customer success performance 
  • Proficiency in data integration and management, with a solid understanding of database structures, APIs, and data governance principles 
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 
  • Certification in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce Admin) is a plus 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $190,000-$215,000
  •  Target annual bonus percentage: 15%

 

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location. 

 

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 4+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
