About the Role:

The Marketing department at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company’s growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to support our Sales and Customer Success departments to grow and retain our client base. The Go-To-Market (GTM) Campaigns team is comprised of new sales, customer marketing, and international campaign managers. They develop and continually execute our go-to-market approach in collaboration with channel owners and stakeholders to generate demand, engage and renew customers, and ultimately grow market share with our platform and data offerings.  

The GTM Campaigns Manager role will focus on customer lifecycle campaigns to drive customer growth and support customer onboarding, adoption, and retention. This role will use data and insights about our customers, the market, win/loss analysis, and other customer signals to inform development and deployment of marketing programs and campaigns. Collaboration is key for this role – partnering across business functions to define and align on campaign success metrics and measurement capabilities. This position requires a marketer who wants to continually test, learn, lean on the data, and collaborate across teams to find new and innovative ways of reaching, supporting, expanding, and retaining our customer base while ensuring our messaging to customers is compelling, consistent, and valuable across activation tactics.  

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Continually lean into a strategic, growth-oriented mindset by synthesizing inputs from multiple data sources to analyze customer behavior and derive actionable insights for improving customer experience   
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to regularly gauge client sentiment through a variety of strategies including win/loss data, customer interviews, and external research to pinpoint the challenges, business needs, and unique value propositions   
  • Continually update and manage GTM priorities based on the articulation of customer insights, metrics, and overall desired customer impact 
  • Monitor key customer metrics to inform marketing strategies or initiatives  
  • Partner closely with account teams to understand their needs in relation to customer lifecycle stages and initiatives for marketing to support their efforts  
  • Partner with Product Marketing on launch and release priorities, target personas, messaging, and competitive differentiators to inform milestone launch campaigns 
  • Proactively inform channel owners (web, media, events, content/creative, etc.) of core GTM objectives, align holistic channel plans under GTM campaign strategy, and monitor and drive optimizations against targeted performance 
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to ensure Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams can speak to the in-market value proposition. Ensure cross-functional teams leverage aligned content assets and messaging for each campaign   
  • Partner with our brand team to develop and promote the PitchBook brand, positioning, and messaging. Identify core opportunities and moments in time to generate and amplify brand awareness 
  • Own the consolidation of GTM channel activity as it pertains to customer lifecycle campaigns. Work with channel partners to provide overarching goals, objectives, target audience details, and core messaging. Enable channel partners to develop recommendations, then use an overarching strategic lens to finalize GTM roadmap 
  • Ensure consistent and fully optimized, execution of campaigns and programs through active tracking of metrics and KPIs 
  • Inform creation of compelling assets for PitchBook audiences to uplevel campaign touchpoints 
  • Project manage program and campaigns aligned to internal and external GTM initiatives within set timeframes  
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors 
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration preferably in Marketing or Business 
  • 4+ years of B2B marketing experience, SaaS preferred, in account engagement, customer lifecycle marketing, demand generation, or marketing campaigns  
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (preferably Marketo), CRM (preferably Salesforce), web analytics, business intelligence (preferably Tableau), project management platforms (preferably Asana), and HighSpot  
  • Experience driving marketing programs and campaigns from concept to completion within set deadlines 
  • Experience working with Sales, Customer Support, and Product to understand and drive a business forward through effective GTM strategies 
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects  
  • Understanding of total addressable market, serviceable addressable market, as well as identifying new market opportunity, and how to activate them 
  • Maintain test and learn approach and a bias for action to continually optimize and accelerate performance 
  • Strong results orientation and decision-making skills 
  • Expert communicator, with excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Ability to thrive and be agile within a fast-paced environment within a high-growth company  
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $95,000-$110,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 10%

 

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location. 

 

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
