We're hiring a Product Innovation Marketing Manager!

The Role

As the Product Innovation Manager on the Marketing team, you will be at the forefront of identifying and developing innovative and strategically aligned products within Plexus' portfolio of dietary supplements and personal care products. You will partner with the Product Marketing team, executives, and other Plexus business units to develop detailed product innovation roadmaps that align with corporate strategy, business goals, and future trends. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to identify emerging trends, drive product ideation, and develop market-leading products that fuel business growth.

What You Will Accomplish (KPIs):

  • Create high-quality, detail-oriented, strategic product briefs that align with the overarching product strategy, which will be utilized to formulate a 3+ year roadmap and guide in-house R&D development.
  • Leverages credible science, customer insights, and market intelligence to inform product development and ensure a forward-thinking approach.
  • In the discovery phase, conducts comprehensive competitor analysis, evaluates current and emerging industry trends, market-gaps, and searches for up-and-coming scientific innovations in ingredients, delivery formats, packaging, claims and other relevant spaces to craft cutting-edge product proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Innovation & Market Research
    • Lead market and competitor analysis to uncover industry gaps and identify white-space opportunities.
    • Continuously track emerging trends in ingredients, delivery systems, and packaging to fuel product innovation.
    • Ensure product proposals differentiate Plexus from competitors by leveraging scientific advancements and unique consumer insights.
  • Product Conceptualization & Development
    • Drive the discovery and ideation phase, working cross-functionally to develop product roadmaps aligned with corporate strategy.
    • Oversee product validation through consumer testing, scientific analysis, and feasibility studies.
    • Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership, ensuring a customer-centric and future-forward approach.
  • Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with R&D, sales, and operations to ensure seamless product development and launch execution.
    • Manage timelines, project updates, and risk assessments, ensuring on-time and successful market entry.
    • Actively contributes to corporate growth strategy by introducing products that drive revenue and expand customer reach.

Performance-Based Qualifications:

  • Innovation & Leadership
    • Proven track record of launching successful dietary supplements or personal care products.
    • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, develop, and execute high-impact products that generate strong market demand.
    • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment on product vision and execution.
  • Industry & Market Expertise
    • 7+ years of experience in product innovation or marketing in dietary supplements, personal care, or related consumer health industries.
    • Deep understanding of scientific research, ingredient innovations, and regulatory requirements in the industry.
    • Strong knowledge of consumer behavior, market analysis, and competitive positioning strategies.
  • Strategic Thinking & Execution
    • Skilled in analyzing industry data, anticipating market shifts, and developing data-driven product strategies.
    • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and high-impact deliverables.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present to executives, external partners, and scientific advisory boards.
  • Travel Requirements
    • Ability to travel, as needed, to offsite locations including manufacturer locations, conventions, trade shows, etc
