This work will focus on implementation and maintenance of first- and third-party integrations for numerous platforms, properties, and intersecting with a wide array of teams at Postman. We are growing this team for a number of reasons, notably:

  1. Help cross-functional teams meet their goals by implementing new behavioral analytics and contextual tagging of pages and UI

In effect: we have dozens of properties and web apps and even more first- and third-party integrations. The list is growing, and challenges in keeping up with browser opinions, governmental requirements, performance—and new ways to connect it all—have us looking for an experienced engineer that has worked with integrations, and can focus on it deeply. You would be joining a stable and established team of distributed engineers that has been together for over 5 years.

What You’ll Do

To achieve our goals, we’ll need an experienced and thoughtful engineer with a special interest and aptitude for software focused on integrations. We are looking for someone who cares deeply about the details and spends time building that interconnective tissue between the front-end and various consuming services. We need an engineer who can be somewhat self-directed and who is proactive, creative, and can collaborate with engineers and non-engineers alike. Your day-to-day work will be smack in the middle of Legal, Marketing, Product and Data teams, and deeply inform the telemetry of numerous campaigns.

Creativity and tenacity are key on this team, and with this work. • Implementing third-party Conversion APIs.
  • Implementing integrations with our third-party tools, databases and various microservices via various API protocols.
  • Working on multiple projects in phases, and iterating toward full-functionality.
  • For someone with a real drive and excitement for development in the world of UI instrumentation, analytics, integrations, compliance, and the ever-shifting landscape of browsers’ opinions.

About you

Must have:

  • A solid and deep understanding of universal JavaScript. You have been working in JavaScript for years, across Node, web apps, plugins and more.
  • Experience in developing, maintaining, and deploying serverless web apps.
  • A solid and deep understanding of APIs. You have consumed, designed, built and maintained various protocols.
  • Experience in ReactJS.
  • Experience in implementing third-party pixels and trackers.
  • A strong skillset in collaborating and communicating on complex integrations with cross-functional teams that are often not engineers.
  • A solid understanding of HTML, and reusable components.

Nice-to-haves would be experience in:

  • NextJS, GatsbyJS, PHP (for WordPress blog)
  • AWS (Gateways, Lambdas, S3, Cloudfront)
  • GitHub Actions
  • Conversion APIs, and working with channels such as Google, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Segment CDP (or similar)
  • Looker dashboards (or similar)

The manager for this role is based in San Francisco; the current team is distributed across the United States and Spain.

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $130,000 to $150,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
