About the Team

Imagine spearheading a team at the forefront of AI adoption, leveraging our own Postman product suite to revolutionize efficiency and scale. Through our three key workstreams, the Security & IT team protects our customers while enabling and protecting our business. The Opportunity

At Postman, we seek an accomplished and visionary Senior Manager to oversee our IT operations (Procurement / Help Desk / Automation / Enterprise Security and Physical Security functions). Reporting directly to the Head of Information Security & IT, you will drive technical and operational excellence across our global footprint, including Europe, the Americas, and India. This role demands a dynamic leader who can seamlessly integrate multiple disciplines, ensuring robust technology infrastructure, secure environments, and efficient procurement processes that align with Postman’s strategic objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Leadership & Team Development:
    • Lead, coach, and mentor multidisciplinary teams spanning IT operations, enterprise security, procurement, and physical security.
    • Build and nurture an exceptional team that is focused on achieving Postman’s objectives through continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strategic Roadmap & Operations Management:
    • Develop and implement a long-term strategic roadmap that drives security outcomes, optimizes procurement practices, and highly leverages automation to drive efficiency across the organization.
    • Oversee the end-user support framework, including managing computing devices, cloud-first environment strategies, and identity & access management systems to ensure operational resilience.
  • Enterprise & Physical Security Oversight:
    • Drive compliance to industry standards as well as adherence to enterprise security policies that protect our digital assets.
    • Oversee physical security operations, including driving net new office build out and maintenance to our standard, facility access controls, surveillance systems, to ensure employee productivity and safeguard company property and personnel.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management:
    • Manage procurement activities and vendor relationships to secure high-quality, cost-effective technology, security services, and facility management resources.
    • Oversee contracts and budgetary aspects, ensuring compliance with both internal standards and industry regulations.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build strong relationships across all stakeholder groups, ensuring that IT and security strategies are fully aligned with broader business needs.
    • Partner with engineering, operations, and executive teams to develop support models that effectively leverage shared resources across the organization

About You

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
  • You’ve successfully defined and executed global IT strategies in fast-paced, hyper-growth environments, aligning technology initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • You have experience recruiting, mentoring, and managing high-performing IT teams across various international regions, fostering strong collaboration and overall excellence.
  • Extensive experience with networking technologies, infrastructure management, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in networking technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of server and storage systems, virtualization, and data centers.
  • Expertise in AWS services, architecture, and best practices.
  • Experience with IT security protocols and compliance standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $230,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
