The Opportunity

The Monetization Team powers Postman pricing & packaging, and scales its business.

We build and operate mission-critical billing systems that handle:

  • Payments & renewals
  • Subscription lifecycle
  • Sales, tax & compliance
  • Revenue systems
  • Post Purchase product onboarding 

As Postman grows, we are evolving towards a config-driven, highly scalable platform that supports both self-serve and sales-led motions globally.

We’re looking for a Front End Senior Engineer who can lead the development of the user-facing platform, driving technical excellence in UI architecture and product innovation in the monetization experience.

What You'll Do

  • Build & Optimize Monetization Experiences
    Design, develop, and own the user interfaces for key monetization flows, including checkout, subscription management, and pricing pages.
  • Drive UI Architecture and Performance
    Establish and enforce best practices for front-end architecture, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability across all user-facing features.
  • Implement Config-Driven UIs
    Develop reusable UI components and systems to dynamically render pricing, packaging, and configuration settings driven by backend services.
  • Enhance Admin and Sales Workflows
    Build and improve internal-facing applications (Admin UIs) to enable sales, finance, and support teams to manage custom contracts, discounts, and user subscriptions efficiently
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally
    Partner with Product, Design, Support, Security, and Platform teams to deliver impactful solutions and ensure a consistent user experience.
  • Raise the Engineering Bar
    Conduct thorough code reviews, define front-end best practices, mentor engineers, and influence decisions on UI technology stack and tooling.

About You

  • 6+ years of experience designing and building complex, high-traffic web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Modern JavaScript/TypeScript and one or more leading front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Angular).
    • Advanced state management techniques and architectural patterns for large-scale single-page applications (SPAs).
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Front-end performance optimization (e.g., bundle size, critical rendering path, load times).
    • Cross-browser compatibility and accessibility (WCAG standards).
    • Integrating and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Unit, Integration, and End-to-End testing frameworks
    • Bundling and building tools.
    • CI/CD pipelines for front-end deployments.
  • Proven track record of:
    • Translating complex design mockups into high-fidelity, responsive user interfaces.
    • Leading technical design and implementation of major front-end features.
  • Strong collaboration skills, comfortable working with and challenging PMs, EMs, and stakeholders.
  • (Bonus) Experience with A/B testing frameworks and deep understanding of user experience principles in high-stakes transaction flows (e.g., checkout, billing portals)

At Postman we value in person collaboration. We are in office 5 days a week for all roles based out of our hubs in San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, Tokyo and London. For roles based in Bangalore, employees currently work in the office three days a week and will transition to five days per week by the end of the year. We were thoughtful in our approach which is based on collaboration and grounded in feedback from our workforce, leadership team, and peers. The benefits of our in office model will be shared knowledge, brainstorming sessions, communication, and building trust in-person that cannot be replicated via zoom.
