A day in the life:
The Sr. Retail Marketing Strategist, Search is responsible for owning the execution, performance, and growth of Amazon & retail PPC advertising campaigns within their book of business. They service the most complex, enterprise-level accounts, and are highly regarded for their mastery over Amazon search advertising as well as search advertising strategy across emerging retail media networks (including but not limited to: Walmart, Instacart, Target). The Sr. Retail Marketing Strategist, Search is exceptional at working under pressure and navigating probing client questions, difficult conversations, roadblocks, and account issues. On top of their Retail Search knowledge, they have an understanding of cross-channel strategy and how their service impacts the broader media mix. They are oriented towards the clients’ business success, tying their efforts to the greater business goals, and are able to communicate this impact effectively with Executives. They are responsible for owning reporting, optimizations, and client communication of all aspects of campaign creation and management, sometimes with the support of a Specialist. The Sr. Retail Marketing Strategist, Search will have the opportunity to coach & manage Amazon/Retail PPC Strategists on a quickly growing team
Responsibilities:
- Enterprise-level account campaign management, including campaign creation, daily optimizations & pivots, and high-level strategy ownership
- Provide intelligent analysis, interpretation, and action plans based on campaign performance data from Amazon Ad Console & other retail media platforms, tying into overall retail business performance
- Participate and engage in weekly department scrums and training sessions to further channel knowledge
- Continuously seek to improve campaign performance & business impact against client goals
- Maintain frequent and excellent communication both on internal agency teams and externally with assigned clients
- Participate in the development process for new department strategies & training materials
- Opportunity to manage a team of Retail Marketing specialists & strategists; responsible for coaching & development of Amazon & Retail PPC strategy, data analysis, client communication / reporting; as well as general personal & professional development of direct reports, maintaining high sentiment in 15Five
- Seek to utilize available AI and delegation resources to assist in their workflow wherever possible
- Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your department
Role Requirements:
- 3-4 years of digital marketing experience. 2+ years in agency setting
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Amazon / Retail search advertising
- Significant campaign management experience in 2 or more of the following platforms:
- Amazon Ad Console
- Walmart Connect
- Instacart Ads
- Criteo Retail
- CitrusAd
- Expert knowledge of funnel marketing and online retail’s place in the marketing funnel
- Strong ability to formulate meaningful insights from marketing data, going beyond the stat and telling the story
- Experience managing direct reports a plus
- Proficiency in Google/Microsoft Office Suite(s)
