The Role: 

At Prezzee, we're redefining the future of digital gifting - and we’re looking for a Software Engineer to help us build secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions across modern tech stacks.

In this role, you’ll contribute to key projects, writing clean, maintainable code and supporting the delivery of new features through reliable CI/CD pipelines. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment, participate in code reviews, and help ensure our systems remain robust and performant as we scale globally.

Some of the technologies and patterns we’re working on across our teams:

• Java, Springboot, RabbitMQ 
• Continuous Delivery & DevOps, Docker, AWS, ECS,Cloudformation
• GraphQL Backend for Frontend using Apollo server. 
• MicroServices backend capable of over 100 orders per second.
• Realtime page performance monitoring (LCP, Total Load Time, etc..) in Datadog
• Prezzee is an AWS Enterprise customer
• We love AI and are rolling out our custom internal AI agent soon. 

 

What You'll Be Doing:

Key Responsibilities: 

• Write high-quality, maintainable code

• Help maintain codebase and frameworks; suggest improvements

• Ensure code meets testing and compliance standards (e.g. PI, GDPR)

• Contribute to testing approach and tooling discussions

• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback

• Follow secure coding practices; understand risk-based thinking

• Follow DevOps practices and stay updated on tools

• Understand architecture; contribute to design discussions

• Participate in team on-call support

• Follow best practices for maintainability, reusability, and clean code

• Suggest process or tooling improvements

• Embrace feedback and a test-and-learn mindset

• Participate in team sessions (tech forums, retrospectives, etc.)

 

What We’re Looking For:

Core Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of Java
  
  
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  
  
• Contribute to maintaining codebases, updating dependencies, and identifying technical debt
  
  
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills with a proactive mindset
  
  
• Experience building software using modern development practices (e.g. CI/CD, testing, version control)
  
  
• Basic understanding of software architecture and cloud services (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
  
  
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  
  
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical team members
  
  
• Able to collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to cross-functional project
