As a Payments Sales Engineer within PublicSquare's Payments Platform team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our sales team and merchants, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration, testing, and go-live process for PublicSq. Payments. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and merchant onboarding teams to guide merchants through the technical requirements of our payment solutions—including credit/debit card processing and ACH. Familiarity with BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify, and NetSuite will be valuable in this role.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can simplify technical payment integrations into clear, actionable solutions for merchants.
Your key job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as a trusted technical advisor, guiding merchants through the integration of PublicSquare Payments.
- Collaborating with the sales team to support merchants in technical discussions, answering questions about payment processing, security, and platform compatibility.
- Assisting merchants with testing, troubleshooting, and deployment to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Working closely with engineering to relay merchant feedback and identify improvements to our payment solution.
- Maintaining active communication with processing banks to troubleshoot issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Providing technical documentation and merchant guides to support smooth integrations.
- Leading merchant check-ins and status calls to address technical concerns proactively.
- Managing multiple merchant integrations simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.

Desired Experience
- Familiarity with payment processing, merchant onboarding, and e-commerce platforms like BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify, and NetSuite.
- Understanding of API integrations, webhooks, and payment gateways is helpful.
- Ability to work with developer documentation and assist in troubleshooting merchant setups.
