Exascale Storage Product Team

The Product Management team defines and drives software features and capabilities as well as being responsible for market and business analysis, requirements, prioritization and product strategy.
The team works with cross-functional teams of Architects, Engineers, CTO office, Customers, Sales and Executive Staff. The Pure Storage Product Management team defines and drives the future of the Hyperscale technology offerings.
SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
- Define overall product strategy, features and priorities
- Drive deep engineering engagement to drive clarity, trade offs, timelines and roadmap
- Develop high-quality content, patterns and practices targeting customer and internal stakeholders
- Synthesize customer/market intelligence – analyze market, industry and especially customer feedback to understand key issues/needs and trends
- Work closely with the executive team to establish the scope and goals of the project and provide leadership for the project teams
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 8+ years of experience in product management and product development roles
- Solid track record of developing a vision, strategy and execution plan for a product line
- Experience with and a solid understanding of product life cycles and release process, from concept inception to product end-of-life
- Leadership skills and ability to drive initiatives and influence cross-functional teams
- Storage technical experience; with a focus on datapath, control plane & telemetry
- Understanding of standards and requirements for hyperscalers, including Open Compute Project (OCP) storage technologies
- Executive presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills to make informed decisions despite incomplete information
- Ability to maintain a clear vision and strategic direction while navigating uncertain conditions, while executing on tactical needs
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, Master’s Degree a plus
- Direct experience with hyperscale storage infrastructure, file systems and software is desirable
You will be based in Santa Clara. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
The annual base salary range is: USD $190,000.00 - USD $284,000.00 Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
