Position Summary

Senior Director and Country Leader, Korea will be a highly regarded leader of stature responsible for driving a high-performance culture in the region. You will work closely with the other members of the Asia Pacific team and will be expected to contribute broadly to the strategic and tactical success of the business and to the enhancement of shareholder value. You will work to move the organization into higher levels of productivity whilst keeping the fabric and DNA intact. 

The position will have a  General Management responsibility driving, leading and inspiring cross functional business units (including marketing, channel sales and other sales functions). 

Key Accountabilities

⦁ Drive the region toward and above revenue and strategic goals both quarterly and annually. 

⦁ Plan operationally and strategically such that Pure Storage Korea achieves its growth objectives both efficiently and with flawless execution.

⦁ Support functions and provide advice and direction, ensuring new markets and verticals are strategically and aggressively engaged. 

⦁ Serve as the single point of contact for our customers and our senior executives.

⦁ Champion overall engagement, welfare and wellbeing of Pure Storage employees within Korea in business partnership with HR/TA, Legal, Operations, Finance and other functional groups to ensure that their expertise is maximized and leveraged to achieve corporate and Pure Storage goals.

⦁ Drive team culture across the ecosystem that contributes to Pure Storage Korea as a great place to work.

⦁ Evolve all sales, services and marketing efforts to "best practices" execution in order to maximize customer satisfaction by making it easy to do business within the Korea marketplace.

⦁ Ensure that business is transacted in accordance with Pure Storage's revenue recognition policy, code of ethics and integrity and the highest standards of business conduct.

⦁ Forecast and manage budget and resource (i.e. headcount and facilities) investments in support of the business requirements.

⦁ Be the voice of the region to influence and impact decisions that accelerate Pure Storage Korea in achieving goals.

⦁ Provide leadership and direction to the development and implementation of improved business, processes and practices within the region with the goal of maximizing sales productivity and time spend with channels partners and customers.

⦁ Represent Pure Storage to the external business, partners, alliances and government communities in the pursuit of building market awareness, relationships and increased revenue streams. 

⦁ Manage territory departmental and program expenses within the assigned budget.

⦁ Coordinate and submit accurate revenue and expense forecast information on a timely basis.

⦁ Establish frequent, accurate and detailed communication as a key spokesperson of Korea  and other cross-functional groups within Pure Storage Korea where applicable.

⦁ Develop, prioritize and manage the country team objectives consistent with the strategic goals of the region and corporation.

⦁ Build momentum and dependability and demonstration of cohesion within each country and regionally.

⦁ Ensure Pure Storage's core value, sales DNA and customer focus is at all times promoted across the region. 

⦁ Lead change and be open to drive a culture of innovation so Korea continues to be a lighthouse for Pure Storage. 

⦁ Provide leadership by way of setting expectations of performance levels and raising the standard of sales and marketing team within the region.

⦁ Review, manage and set key performance indicators and quarterly targets in line with the commission Plans for all team members and conducting quarterly Check-Ins.

⦁ Work in cooperation with the managers of selected team members who may have other "direct line" or "indirect line" reporting relationships to ensure that common direction and communication is being provided to those team members.

⦁ Create and actively cultivate a work environment that emphasises professionalism, positive morale, a "can-do" attitude, accuracy, timeliness, respect for others, honesty, opportunity for career growth and development, and an atmosphere that rewards "thinking outside the box" and going beyond minimum job requirements.

 

Required Experience

⦁ Proven, successful track records as a Country Leader or Head of Sales in Korea at information technology  technology company 

⦁ Proven overachievement of sales performance year on year with strategic win from major, large accounts 

⦁ Successful Track records in building strong business team and continuously upgrading it. 

⦁ Proven experience in selling enterprise solutions to customers and develop a strategic account at Korean large Enterprises (for example - Samsung, Hyundai, SK, LG and Lotte) and key major target industries, which are Financial Service Industries (Banking, Securities, Crypto and Insurance etc) , Telco and Automotive etc.

⦁ Demonstrable ability to drive customer growth, enhance customer retention and champion operational success;

⦁ Proven experience in driving sales relationships with senior business executives;

⦁ Highly developed contract negotiation skills;

⦁ Ability to quickly grasp changing business situations and put together solutions which take advantage of the opportunities when presented;

⦁ Track record of leading and managing change;

⦁ Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities; and

⦁ Self-driven to expand network and build relationships across a global organisation
