The Senior Revenue Accounting Analyst will be a key member of the Global Revenue Accounting Team and will report directly to the local Revenue Accounting Manager. As a top candidate, you should have a desire to learn and analyze complex revenue transactions and go-to market strategies using your understanding of Hardware, Software and SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606). We are seeking a candidate who can multi-task and who has a continuous improvement mindset, eager to play a key role in transformation projects.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR...
- Ensure revenue recognition in company financials is in accordance with US GAAP/ASC 606
- Partner with the Deal Desk and Legal Teams to provide expert revenue recognition guidance during contract negotiations
- Approval of non-standard letters with revenue impacting terms and sales orders based on paperwork checks
- Review and assist with contract revenue write-up process and memos as required
- Partner with our external auditors to ensure the accuracy of our revenue is maintained in both consolidated and statutory books
- Perform monthly/quarterly revenue accounting close tasks, including preparation/review of close files, reconciliation procedures, SOX controls, and external revenue reporting requirements
- Preparation of quarterly reporting slides for CAO/CFO readouts based on quarterly results
- Daily monitoring and reviews of revenue transaction and approvals of non-standard requests such as assessment of payment terms, return rights, etc.
- Contribute to company ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives/improvements as needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING...
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant revenue accounting experience
- 2 years of public company revenue recognition experience is highly desired
- A strong working knowledge of Revenue Recognition Accounting in accordance with ASC 606
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skills
- High degree of business proficiency and professional judgment is essential
- Ability to analyze transactions from both an accounting and economic strength perspective
- Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills
- Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced changing environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across multiple levels, functions, and locations
- Experience with Zoura, NetSuite, SFDC, SQL, SAP and Tableau highly desired
