We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Software Developer Engineer in Test with a strong focus on automation to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through hands-on testing, test automation, and contributing to the development of testable software methodologies. You will actively participate in designing tests, developing and maintaining test sets and strategies, and collaborating with peers and stakeholders to achieve comprehensive test coverage.
SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
- Designing and implementing automated tests throughout the entire lifecycle of application development.
- Creating, developing, and maintaining automated test sets and strategies for various products.
- Collaborating with peers and stakeholders to identify requirements and contribute to solutions from initial test design to a comprehensive testing suite.
- Working closely with Support and Escalation teams to replicate and identify the root cause of customer issues.
- Identifying, analyzing, and thoroughly documenting any defects discovered during automated testing.
- Proactively identifying test gaps, conducting root cause analysis, and contributing to closing the loop on defects found by customers.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 5+ years of experience in software system testing or equivalent.
- Proficient in System testing with a strong emphasis on end-to-end Automation.
- Hands-on experience in automation using Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, and/or similar languages.
- Experience in qualifying enterprise products in cloud and container platforms such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker.
- Familiarity with VMware, Disaster recovery, and Data protection.
- Familiarity with SAN or NAS or systems.
- Ability to independently deploy and maintain test environments.
- Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Capable of prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Natural curiosity combined with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work in an open office, team environment.
- You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
The annual base salary range is: $228,000 – $342,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
