As part of the Commercial Strategy and Transformation team, we are seeking a dynamic, strategic minded and operationally-focused individual to fill the role of Commercial Strategy & Transformation Sr. Manager. This person will work directly with key Commercial Line of Business (LoB) leadership and cross-functional business stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations) to analyze commercial excellence opportunities, develop strategic plans and transformational roadmaps to drive the highest leverage growth and efficiency opportunities, and support cross-functional teams in operational execution.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in strategic thinking, business management and change management with the ability to influence a varied set of cross-functional stakeholders and be exceptional at simplifying and communicating complex plans and objectives.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE...
- Leading the development of comprehensive strategic plans for commercial excellence initiatives by working with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key opportunities for growth, efficiency improvements, managing risk, and developing clear, actionable roadmaps for execution
- Identifying and driving process optimization opportunities focusing on removing inefficiencies, improving productivity, recommendations for automation of manual tasks (inc. AI use cases), and collaborating with process owners to design and implement best practices
- Leading efforts to gather, analyze, and interpret commercial performance data, customer insights, and market trends to identify actionable opportunities for improvement and synthesizing into actionable insights for senior leaders to make decisions
- Developing robust business cases and financial models to assess the feasibility, impact, and ROI of proposed transformation initiatives and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to validate assumptions, conduct sensitivity analysis, and present recommendations for executive approval
- Partnering with senior leadership to set and prioritize commercial excellence initiatives by acting as a trusted advisor to provide guidance on strategic decision-making, identifying potential roadblocks, and recommending solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency
- Supporting the execution and driving program management of change management initiatives tied to commercial transformation projects by partnering with senior leaders to ensure successful adoption
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 5-7+ years of relevant work experience with at least 2 years in management consulting, private equity or top-tier tech strategy or ‘biz ops’ functions
- Robust analytical skill set mixed with intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness to accelerate change
- GTM experience with strategic business transformation and commercial excellence topics such as operating model design, process efficiency, sales effectiveness, productivity improvement, revenue acceleration, etc.
- Experience in partnering with cross functional teams to program manage and execute large-scale transformations
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to inspire teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to Executive audiences
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred or “direct promote” in Consulting
- Experience in the B2B technology industry is a must, knowledge of the data storage industry is a plus
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
The annual base salary range is: $172000– $259000
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
