THE ROLE:
We are actively seeking highly motivated engineers who excel in dynamic, small-team settings. You will get a chance to contribute to innovative product ideas that tackle challenges within massive-scale storage environments.
We are looking for skilled and dynamic Software Quality Engineers with a strong focus on automation to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through rigorous testing, building and leveraging a scalable test automation, and contributions to building high-performance systems. You will actively participate in designing tests, developing and maintaining test sets and strategies, and collaborating with peers and stakeholders to achieve comprehensive test coverage. You will work closely across kernel and OS layers, gaining exposure to end-to-end system interactions, I/O paths, and performance characteristics. Strong troubleshooting skills are essential, particularly in diagnosing complex server and storage issues across hardware and software boundaries.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Designing and implementing automated tests throughout the entire lifecycle of product development and support.
- Creating, developing, and maintaining automated test sets and test strategies for various products.
- Collaborating with peers and stakeholders to identify requirements and contribute to solutions from initial test design to a comprehensive testing suite.
- Working closely with Support and Escalation teams to replicate and identify the root cause of customer issues.
- Identifying, analyzing, and thoroughly documenting any defects discovered during automated testing.
- Proactively identifying test gaps, conducting root cause analysis, and contributing to closing the loop on defects found by customers.

WHAT YOU BRING:
- 5+ years of experience in software system testing or equivalent.
- Proficient in System level testing with a strong emphasis on end-to-end automation and product validation.
- Hands-on experience in automation using Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, and/or similar languages.
- Knowledge of quality engineering to identify test coverage gaps, raising defects, and ensuring comprehensive end-to-end validation.
- Ability to establish and contribute to system stability, resiliency, and liveliness testing at scale.
- Familiarity with working of SSD/NVMe based devices; block, object or file storage systems.
- Analyze test results, debug failures, and drive issues to resolution by collaborating with development, QE, product management, and customer support teams.
- Ability to deploy lab environments, including testbed configuration, resource orchestration, and integration of third-party workloads/tools.
- Capable of prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, coupled with a natural curiosity and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:
$175,000 - $263,000 USD
