Location & Remote Work for technology and remote-first roles

Our technology team operates under a "remote-first" model, which means we work from home and can live anywhere in Brazil. We also offer the option of working from our São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces, up to twice a week.

About the MLOps Tech Lead Manager Role

As we continue to scale, we’re looking for an MLOps Tech Lead Manager to lead the efforts in streamlining the development, deployment, and monitoring of our machine learning systems. You’ll work on high-impact projects that influence millions of users, leveraging state-of-the-art AI technology. MLOps Tech Lead Manager Responsibilities at QuintoAndar

• Lead the MLOps Squad: Oversee a team of Machine Learning Engineers focused on building and maintaining our ML Platform, balancing long-term vision with high-impact delivery;

• Collaborate with Data Science and AI Leaders: Work closely with the Data Science team to deliver on ML platform requirements, ensuring seamless integration between models and production;

• Optimize Model Deployment & Monitoring: Ensure smooth deployment and ongoing performance, implementing best practices for scaling and addressing model drift;

• Foster Best Practices: Lead by example in promoting infrastructure and coding standards that align with machine learning requirements;

• Drive Automation & Efficiency: Automate workflows, integrate new tools, and streamline pipelines to support fast iteration and continuous delivery;

• Manage Careers: Responsible for leading teams and managing the professional growth of team members.

What we are looking for:

• Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading teams and managing careers;

• ML Knowledge: General understanding of machine learning concepts (regression, classification, clustering, neural networks, bias-variance tradeoff, etc);

• Engineering Excellence: Good understanding of the engineering challenges of deploying ML systems to production and solid software/data engineering best practices;

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Python or another major programming language and experience with cloud-based services;

• Technical Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• Product-Minded: Someone who can help guide QuintoAndar's Machine Learning Platform long-term roadmap;

• Continuous Learning: Someone up-to-date with recent advances in Machine Learning Engineering and willing to share knowledge.

You’ll stand out if you have:

• MSc. (or Undergrad + intense experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or other relevant technical field;

• Previous experience building machine learning platforms;

• Experience working with large monorepos;

• Expertise with MLOps tools and libraries (Ex: Kubeflow, MLflow, AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, Databricks, etc);

• Up-to-date knowledge of cloud solutions (preferably AWS).
