ABOUT THE JOB
RADAR is looking for a hands-on Retailer Software Integration Lead to join our team and serve as the technical lead embedded with our retail partners through every stage of a RADAR pilot. You'll own the integrations that connect a retailer's existing systems — their network infrastructure, product catalog, inventory and POS data feeds, and identity platform — to the RADAR platform, working directly alongside the retailer's IT, data, and operations teams to implement and validate each workstream against a live installation date. This is a field-oriented, execution-focused role for someone who is equally comfortable writing a firewall change request, building a data field mapping document, and presenting a go-live status update to a retailer's leadership team — and who knows how to bring in the right resources and manage them when the scope demands it.
Responsibilities:
- Own and implement all technical integrations required to bring a retailer onto the RADAR platform — including network infrastructure (firewall rules, DNS, DHCP, TLS certificates), data pipelines (product catalog, POS/inventory event feeds, nightly snapshots), and identity (SAML SSO). You do this work hands-on, partnering closely with the retailer's IT and data teams to get it done right.
- Embedded at the retailer from kickoff to go-live, serving as the primary technical bridge between RADAR Engineering and the retailer's network, data, IAM, and POS teams — translating requirements clearly in both directions, helping teams prioritize and unblock integration work, and engaging the right stakeholders when dependencies need attention.
- Hire, brief, and manage integration contractors as the pilot portfolio grows, and after each go-live, document the integration configuration, validation steps, and lessons learned — building a repeatable playbook that makes every pilot faster than the one before.
ABOUT YOU
Required:
- 10+ years in a technical role that involved directly implementing enterprise integrations — not just managing or coordinating them. You have personally configured firewall rules, built data transformation scripts, set up SFTP jobs, and tested SAML integrations. You have done this inside or alongside large enterprise IT organizations with real change control and organizational friction.
- Hands-on networking skills: DNS records, DHCP configuration, firewall rule authoring, TLS certificate provisioning, and network connectivity debugging. Comfortable using tools like curl, dig, and traceroute to validate connectivity. You can look at a failed controller-to-cloud connection and identify whether it is a DNS failure, a firewall block, or a certificate mismatch.
- Hands-on data integration skills: SFTP setup and validation, REST API testing, JSON schema and field mapping, writing or reviewing data transformation scripts (Python, SQL, or similar), and end-to-end pipeline testing. You have built or validated a data feed from a POS, ERP, or inventory management system before.
- Hands-on SAML SSO implementation: you have personally completed a SAML integration between an enterprise IdP (Okta, Azure AD, Ping Federate, or equivalent) and a third-party service. You understand entity IDs, assertion consumer service URLs, attribute mapping, and group claims well enough to debug a failed login assertion.
- Experience managing contract resources: scoping work, briefing contractors, reviewing deliverables, and holding external contributors to a timeline. You know when to do it yourself and when to delegate.
- Strong written communicator — you can write a firewall change request, a field mapping document, and an executive summary for a retailer's VP of IT.
Preferred:
- Background in retail technology — POS systems, inventory management, WMS, or supply chain data. You understand how these systems produce data, what governs their export pipelines, and what it takes to get a change through a retail IT organization's change control process.
- Familiarity with RFID technology — EPC encoding, GS1 standards, Gen 2 UHF RFID — or clear evidence of the ability to learn a new technical domain quickly and apply it in the field.
- Experience writing data transformation scripts to normalize retailer data into a target schema.
- Comfort with cloud storage and data transfer tools — GCP Storage buckets, SFTP servers, Pub/Sub, and basic BigQuery familiarity.
- Experience with enterprise procurement and vendor compliance processes at large retailers
WHAT YOU'LL DO
In your first 30 days, you will:
- Learn Radar’s mission, technology stack and core values.
- Complete onboarding and security compliance training.
- Complete technical onboarding across all three integration workstreams; able to implement each independently
- Shadow an active pilot kickoff and audit every open integration item against the installation date
- Identify at least two at-risk dependencies and present a recovery plan
In your first 60 days, you will:
- You have taken hands-on ownership of an active pilot's integration workstreams. You have submitted the firewall change request — not asked the retailer to.
- The product catalog sample is in your hands and you have produced the field mapping doc for Engineering.
- A delivery mode decision for the IEF has been made and you have started building or validating the extract job.
- The SAML application registration is in flight and you have tested at least one SSO login.
- You have gone through the steps of standing up a pilot internally and are familiar with the process
In your first 90 days, you will:
- All work streams implemented, tested, and green before installation day — no surprises on go-live
- On-site for commissioning; any integration issues resolved directly, not escalated
