Cyber Security Engineer
This is a U.S. based position. All of the programs we support require U.S. citizenship to be eligible for employment. All work must be conducted within the continental U.S.

About the role:
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will monitor, analyze, and detect cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks while supporting dynamic cyber defense operations. Your role involves coordinating security toolsets for continuous monitoring and authorization programs, establishing frameworks for measuring cyber risk, and performing Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.
You will determine security requirements, conduct vulnerability analyses, perform risk assessments, and implement security systems. You'll design and integrate DoD IA architectures for computing and network environments while developing System Security Plans (SSP), conducting security control assessments, managing Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes, implementing NIST 800-53 controls, ensuring DISA STIG compliance, and maintaining Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
This role is contingent on contract award.
What we are looking for:
Associate: Bachelor's degree with 0-4 years of experience or Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience. Works on assignments requiring judgment and initiative under supervision. Develops solutions to technical problems of limited to moderate scope following established procedures.
Standard: Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of experience or Master's degree with 3-8 years of experience. Works independently providing technical solutions to complex problems with considerable latitude in approaches.
Senior: Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience or Master's degree with 8+ years of experience. Recognized authority providing innovative solutions to complex technical problems and leading advanced development efforts.
Experience with cyber security frameworks, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, DoD IA architectures, security compliance standards, and incident response procedures.
Highly preferred:
- Industry security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH).
- DoD security standards and authorization experience. RMF implementation and ISSO/ISSE/ISSM experience.
- Experience with DoD security standards and authorization processes. Knowledge of enterprise security architectures and threat analysis methodologies.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret with ability to obtain and maintain SCI
Work Type:
- Onsite in Colorado Springs, CO
- May require up to 10% travel
Salary Range:
- $130,000 - $150,000
- The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
