Business Process Excellence Director

New Kensington, PA

About Re:Build

At Re:Build, our mission is to ensure the next generation of important products are made, at scale, in America. We are laying the foundation for a better future for our customers, employees, and communities by revitalizing America's manufacturing base and creating meaningful jobs across the country, including in historically deindustrialized regions.

We operate an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform that partners with industrial companies and innovators to take products from first concept to full-scale production in critical verticals including aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy and environment, and robotics and automation.

The way we operate is as important as the work we do. It's guided by The Re:Build Way, 16 principles that shape how we collaborate with each other, partner with our customers and vendors, and contribute to the communities where we operate. (link to The Re:Build Way principles)

  • Who we are looking for – We're looking for a Business Process Excellence Director to own and elevate the business processes, management systems, and quality standards that keep our organization running smoothly across every location. This person will partner closely with leaders and teams company-wide to identify process gaps, standardize best practices, and drive sustainable improvements in efficiency, consistency, customer experience, and overall business performance. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading a QMS audit, facilitating a cross-functional improvement workshop, or presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership — someone who can turn scattered workflows into standardized, auditable, continuously improving systems.

  • What you get to do – In this role, you will establish, document, and continuously improve standardized business processes, procedures, and work instructions to meet both industry-specific and customer requirements, while evaluating cross-functional workflows to identify inefficiencies and control gaps. You'll own and advance the company's Quality Management System across all locations, coordinating internal and external audits, management reviews, and corrective and preventive actions. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives — reducing errors and rework, streamlining workflows, and applying automation wherever possible — while setting measurable objectives and tracking results over time. You'll also oversee customer setup and onboarding workflows, partnering with PMO, customer service, finance, and operations to resolve bottlenecks and improve the onboarding experience. Finally, you will build and maintain dashboards and scorecards on process performance and audit findings, present trends and recommendations to leadership, lead process improvement workshops, and travel to company locations as needed (approximately 25–50% of the time) to collaborate with teams and support implementation.

  • What you bring to the team – You bring 10+ years of experience in business process management, continuous improvement, quality, or operations, along with demonstrated hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and overseeing a Quality Management System, including its documentation, audits, and corrective actions. A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent relevant experience will be considered, and an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (or demonstrated equivalent auditing experience) is strongly preferred. You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives and implementing standardized workflows, with working knowledge of process mapping, root-cause analysis, and performance metrics. Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills are essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant business systems tools. You're someone who can work independently in a remote environment, influence stakeholders without relying on direct authority, and travel approximately 25–50% of the time.
