About The Role
In the role of Mechanical Product Design Engineer, you will be developing Data Center products directly related to high voltage and low voltage electronics from the concept to production launch. During the development and launch phases, you will be working with multiple cross functional teams, suppliers, and production integrators representing the Mechanical area:
What You Will Do
- Work in fast-paced environment for Data Center products representing the Mechanical Design area.
- Ensure designs comply with UL, NEMA, NEC, and other relevant electrical and mechanical standards.
- Create and manage 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and engineering change notices (ECNs) using tools such as SolidWorks or Creo.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Manufacturing, and Compliance teams to optimize design for functionality, safety, and manufacturability.
- Work with Electrical Engineering team to improve the PCBA, busbar, power converter cell mechanical design and packaging
- Perform thermal and structural analysis to ensure product reliability under various operating conditions.
- Support testing, validation, and certification processes including UL listing and internal QA standards.
- Interface with suppliers and manufacturing teams to select materials, validate prototypes, and resolve DFM/DFA issues.
- Working on mechanical design issues by providing root case, corrective resolutions
- Hosting regular meetings with component suppliers and other cross functional teams
- Maintain design documentation, revision control, and support product lifecycle management.
- Mentor junior Engineers and participate in cross-functional design reviews.
What You Bring
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
- Minimum 6 years of Mechanical Design experience in power distribution equipment or related electrical enclosure systems
- Proven product design experience with UL standards compliance
- Knowledge or experience with sheet metal stamping, busbar design, wiring harness, and plastic injection molding processes
- Ability to work independently and manage several challenging projects simultaneously
- Problem solving capabilities and willing to drive to resolve product technical challenges
- Always maintains a positive and proactive attitude
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
- Understanding of UL, NEMA, IEC, and NEC codes and standards.
- Experience with FEA/CFD tools for Mechanical and Thermal Analysis is a plus
- Experience with rapid prototyping and lean product development methodologies

Salary Range: $175,000-$205,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
