The Marketing team is the engine that powers Remote's expansion. Through product marketing, performance marketing, events, communications, campaigns, and content, our team tells the world about Remote to bring in revenue and establish Remote as the international leader in global HR and remote work.
What you bring
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all platforms and communications. Establish the overall tone for the brand.
- Drive community and advocacy among Remote’s customers, partners, prospects, and influencers.
- Conduct market research to understand audience perceptions and market trends.
- Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of brand communication efforts, adjusting strategies based on insights and feedback.
- Create compelling and coherent brand messaging and content that resonates with target audiences.
- Oversee the development of all content, including press releases, website copy, social media posts, and marketing materials. Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and voice.
- Promote a consistent internal brand culture- ensure internal stakeholders are aligned with the brand’s communication strategies and messaging. Develop internal communication programs to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Run sophisticated AR, PR and media programs. Develop and execute public relations campaigns to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Handle crisis communication and manage the company’s response to negative publicity.
- Oversee the company’s presence on social media platforms. Develop and execute digital marketing campaign strategies, including influencer partnerships.
- Manage budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact and ROI.
- Recruit, hire and train teams- establish goals and ensure performance aligns with these goals. Foster collaboration within the team and across customer groups
- Work hand in hand with the leadership team to ensure that brand messaging and strategy reaches every organization at the company.
- Act as a thought leader in the HR technology industry, and genuinely demonstrate Remote’s mission internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Proven experience as a VP, spanning Brand, Communications, Content Marketing, and Social teams on a global scale.
- Brand and messaging expertise- understanding of positioning, narrative development, and messaging consistency across channels and geos.
- Affinity for content writing and editing; proven expertise in creating compelling content.
- Strategic leadership experience- track record of developing & executing multi-year marketing strategies.
- Team and budget management- experience leading cross-functional teams, upleveling and coaching talent. Experience managing $M marketing budgets and scaling operations in high-growth environments.
- Data-driven decision-making- proficiency in digital marketing tools and techniques, analytic approach to KPI management.
- Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Self-motivated, highly ambitious and comfort with operating in rapidly growing environments. Creative and entrepreneurial spirit. Strong fit with Remote’s aforementioned Values.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.
The base salary range for this full-time position is between $225,550 USD to $281,950 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
