RES is looking for a Solutions Analyst II to join our team in Houston, TX.
As a Solutions Analyst II, you’ll sit at the intersection of data, permitting, and business strategy—turning complex regulatory, technical, and financial information into clear, decision-ready insights. Your work will directly support opportunity qualification, proposal development, market/client research, and deal analysis, helping RES deliver nature-based solutions across our markets.

What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like
Your work will blend research, writing, analysis, and collaboration. You will:

Build desktop evaluations and early-stage opportunity assessments using environmental, regulatory, and site data.

Outline permitting pathways and constraints, applying working knowledge of key regulations (e.g., CWA Section 404, ESA Sections 7 & 10, local stormwater requirements).

Research clients, industries, and markets to prepare teams for external meetings and opportunity pursuit decisions.

Draft and coordinate RFQ/RFP responses, proposals, scopes of work, and internal memos—creating polished, client-ready deliverables.

Work with large datasets and financial models: summarize trends, interpret outputs, and perform QA/QC on pro formas, budgets, and basic P&L inputs.

Translate business requirements and technical content into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor’s degree (any discipline; environmental, engineering, planning, business, economics, or similar is common)

Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field (or demonstrated comparable competencies)

Experience or knowledge in public infrastructure funding, project development, or planning (can be direct or adjacent experience)

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and ability to produce polished, client-ready documents (Adobe Pro preferred)

Excel data handling + formulas; comfort working with large datasets

Fundamental understanding of environmental regulations and permitting (e.g., 404, ESA 7/10, stormwater)

Excellent communication, with strong organization, attention to detail, and time management
Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience in mitigation banking, ecological restoration, environmental consulting, or related markets

Working knowledge of ArcGIS (preferred)

Tableau or Power BI experience (preferred)

Experience with proposal writing (RFQ/RFPs, scopes, technical narratives)

Experience working directly with permitting strategy, regulatory agencies, or permit applications
- Coding skills (Python, R, SQL, etc.) for analysis/automation
