This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, North Carolina office.
This position is responsible for the physical, analytical and microbiological testing of Raw Materials, Bulk, Finished Product and Purchased Product for conformance to Revlon specifications. Use developed organoleptic, analytical test methods and shade evaluation/matching skills in evaluation of products.
The QC Laboratory supports an active manufacturing facility. Product evaluation and testing is performed in the QC Laboratory. Sampling is performed in other areas within the facility.
This position is required to be adaptable to working different shifts and Saturday/Sunday based on business demands and PTO schedules.
Major Duties :
- Organoleptic evaluation, shade evaluation and physical testing, chemical testing of raw materials, in accordance with department procedures and Revlon specifications.
- Sample raw materials in accordance with procedures and Revlon specifications.
- Use, care, calibration of instruments and test equipment to include but not limited to Karl Fischer, pH meter and IR.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Generate approval/reject tags for raw materials.
- Enters evaluation, test results and final disposition in SAP for raw materials.
- Interface with Bulk Planning/Manufacturing/Receiving to coordinate the sampling, testing and dispositioning of raw materials.
- Works independently with little supervision.
- Follows Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent math skills.
- Good effective laboratory technique.
- Work independently with minimum supervision.
- Aptitude for color and odor evaluation.
Minimum Requirements:
- College degree in a science, technical or business discipline preferred .
- In leiu of a degree, relevant experience may substitute for degree.
- 0-3 years of experience

The base pay range for this position is $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 / year; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short-term incentives as part of total compensation.

Employees are covered by the company-paid basic life insurance policy and company-paid short-term disability insurance (the benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if you are disabled). Employees will also receive 3 weeks of vacation, pro-rated based on date of hire for the 1st year of employment and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Vacation will depend on role.
