San Antonio Winery is looking for a Restaurant General Manager to support operations here at our location in Los Angeles, CA.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Make high quality, action oriented, decisions that ensure the goals of the organization to move forward. Quickly identify opportunities and challenges while leading with care, resilience, resourcefulness, and integrity that instills confidence and trust.
  • Work closely with upper management in executing comprehensive service goals and the development of people.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including running the floor, scheduling appropriately for the business demand, touching tables and help our employees to ensure we achieve a 100% guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve productivity and performance while upholding policies that promote company culture and vision.
  • Communicate with honesty, intention and transparency. Adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of the team and the situation. Ensure that communication is clear and effective while building partnerships to work collaboratively.
  • Lead by example coaching and training on proper execution of service standards and protocols.
  • Develop training plan for new staff.
  • Host quarterly training courses for staff to ensure they have extensive knowledge of the menu, wine list and service standards.
  • Manage daily service & and communicate all company initiatives to the team.
  • Ensure effective onboarding, professional development, performance management, and staff retention.
  • Balance day-to-day operational and administrative responsibilities.
  • Keep track of employees’ hours, recording and maintaining payroll data.
  • Ensuring all end-of-day reporting & and cashouts are correctly completed.
  • Inventory and ordering of supplies.
  • Provide strong leadership to FOH departments.
  • Problem-solving efficiently while adhering to company policies and county regulations.
  • Ensure opening and closing of service for the day.
  • Support with FOH administrative duties as needed.
  • Collaborate with the wine shop and events team to plan, prepare and execute events and wine tastings to ensure success. Work together to streamline processes and enhance overall business operations.
  • Ensure accountability by holding self and others accountable to meet commitments while fully understanding and exhibiting Riboli family hospitality mission, vision. Embodying San Antonio winery core values, while upholding service and quality standards with a sense of urgency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of full-service restaurant manager experience, preferably in LA restaurants.
  • Experience preferred in opening new concept restaurants and streamlining operations.
  • Proficient wine knowledge required, WSET, CSS, etc. is preferred.
  • Hospitality/Management Degree is preferable but not required.
  • Comfortable with BOH standards and operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office, Micros Oracle.
  • Strong time-management skills and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Strong ability to follow up and give clear feedback if needed.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with all functional levels and business areas.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with others.
  • Strong relational skills and ability to anticipate needs.
  • Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes and unafraid of challenges.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Self-starter, able to work in a space of ambiguity and evolving role and solutions oriented.
  • Problem solver, resourceful, and able to find solutions independently.
  • Passionate, willing to learn and grow.
  • Able to work and manage a high volume, fast-paced environment while effectively prioritizing guest needs.
  • Able to adapt and take directions well.
  • Manager ServSafe certified. You must know the LA Department of Health codes relevant to food service.
  • Valid RBS/ABC certificate.
  • Plus if Spanish or Italian speaking.
  • Proper grooming and professional appearance.

Pay Range

$80,000 - $95,000 USD
