About You
Are you a Staff InfoSec Analyst with extensive expertise across multiple domains, including cloud security, containerization, and compliance? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where collaboration, innovation, and secure delivery are top priorities? At Rise8, we’re looking for someone like you to lead the charge in securing complex systems, while ensuring client satisfaction across projects.
As an InfoSec Analyst III at Rise8, you will:
- Support cross-functional teams by applying cybersecurity best practices to enhance security operations and processes.
- Assist in conducting cybersecurity assessments across the technology stack to identify vulnerabilities and help implement remediation strategies.
- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation efforts, providing input to help prioritize cybersecurity initiatives.
- Support collaboration efforts with external cybersecurity and compliance organizations to maintain alignment with Continuous RMF (cRMF) and DoD security frameworks.
- Participate in incident response activities, helping document root cause analyses and recommending basic resilience improvements.
- Deliver security awareness sessions and provide updates to internal stakeholders on cybersecurity risks, issues, and remediation status.
- Continually develop your cybersecurity knowledge and contribute to team training and knowledge-sharing efforts.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in a combination of security, operations, and/or development roles.
- BA/BS degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Working understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threats, vulnerabilities, encryption, authentication, and basic risk management concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud, application, and platform security best practices, including the use of CIS benchmarks and security guidelines.
- Exposure to security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti-malware solutions, vulnerability scanners, encryption tools, and identity and access management (IAM) platforms.
- Experience working within government, DoD, or other regulated environments is a plus, including familiarity with DoD Impact Levels (IL4, IL5, IL6).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, or equivalent; CISSP Associate or similar in progress preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Continuous RMF practices, FedRAMP, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Basic understanding of cloud security in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable, Trivy) or security monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
- Interest in developing consulting skills to tailor security solutions for diverse mission-driven environments.
Salary
- The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $92,551 - $115,688 regardless of final candidate location within the United States. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
