About your role

Rocket Lawyer, the world’s first global legal platform, is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of how we use AI to deliver legal services. Our Copilot product is at the forefront of this transformation—leveraging generative AI to simplify and automate legal tasks, making justice more accessible for everyone.

You’ll join a passionate, collaborative design team and work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, legal experts, and researchers to create seamless, intuitive user experiences. As a Senior Product Designer, you will take ownership of critical initiatives within Copilot—from concept to launch—crafting solutions that are innovative, empathetic, and aligned with both user needs and business goals.

This is an opportunity to design tools that help individuals and small businesses navigate complex legal challenges with confidence. You’ll work on AI-powered features that guide users through legal workflows, offer intelligent suggestions, and connect them with human legal support when needed.

How you will make a difference day to day

  • Partner with product, engineering, and growth to define problems, explore opportunities, and design end-to-end solutions within the Copilot experience.
  • Design thoughtful, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces, from early concepts and wireframes to polished visual designs and prototypes.
  • Leverage AI capabilities to reimagine user flows and unlock new customer experiences.
  • Design human-AI collaboration flows that clearly communicate what AI can and cannot do, and support users in refining, correcting, or expanding outputs.
  • Conduct or collaborate on generative user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate ideas.
  • Apply insights from data and experimentation to iterate and improve designs.
  • Contribute to and help evolve our design system to support consistency across mobile, web, and AI agent experiences—including conversational UI, proactive assistance, and feedback loops.
  • Collaborate closely with other designers to share feedback, refine concepts, and uphold a high bar for craft and usability.
  • Clearly articulate your design rationale in cross-functional meetings and design reviews.

What you’ll need

  • 7-10 years of experience designing digital products, preferably in SaaS or B2C environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing complex user flows and intuitive interfaces.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your product thinking, interaction design, and visual design skills.
  • Comfort working on AI-driven or data-rich products (experience with generative AI tools or machine learning-based UX is required).
  • Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility to drive impactful outcomes.
  • Familiarity with design systems and component-based UI design.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, you can explain your work clearly and give and receive feedback effectively.
  • Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and prototyping techniques.

A plus if you have

  • Experience working on AI-powered products or designing with large language models.
  • Background in legal, fintech, or productivity tools.
  • Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing.
  • Experience working in a hybrid or remote team environment.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
