Job Summary

The Media Buyer (Local Negotiator) will be responsible for negotiating video, audio, and streaming content and evaluating linear and digital components on behalf of all active clients in the assigned market list. Responsibilities include knowledge of the local market landscape, cost control, accurate imp/rating estimation, thorough schedule maintenance and final reporting analysis. Foster and preserve relationships with all vendors, station management, and station representatives. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in the media buying space. This role is fully remote but will require someone located and living in the Chicago area for collaboration purposes this associate will be working closely with an Associate Media Director who is in the Chicago area. 

What You’ll Be Working On 

  • Buy negotiations
  • Estimate impressions/ratings
  • Market research, historical cost, and delivery review
  • Discussions, communications
  • Maintenance/Post analysis
  • Monitor schedule delivery
  • Resolve discrepancies with stations
  • Maintain relationships with station management and reps  

How You’ll Excel In Your Role 

  • Experience with Mediaocean
  • DCM and Nielsen tools a plus
  • PC experience with Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

 

The salary range for this opportunity is $67,000 - $70,000 for candidates who align closely with requirements and expectations.
