Job Summary
RPA is seeking a Media Planner to join the Honda Media Strategy team. This is an integrated media strategy position and they’ll work on all media types including digital, social, television/video, radio/audio, print, and out-of-home for various Honda National model launches. They should also be a strong communicator and self-starter who is able to collaborate effectively with the team and others at the agency. This person must be detail-oriented and have excellent organization and communication skills, as well as be able to multitask and possess strong analytical skills. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word required, as is working knowledge of all major media planning tools. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strong communicator, can collaborate across internal and external teams, and effectively manage and mentor the Assistant Media Planner.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Help formulate and compile media recommendations
- Campaign execution, management, and reporting
- Collaborate with internal SME teams and Account teams to ensure alignment across initiatives and deadlines are met
- Responsible for training junior team members (Assistant Media Planner, Interns) and reviewing their work/deliverables coming in from other teams
- Help generate and maintain planning documents such as flowcharts, budgets, quarterly deliverables, including marketing summary decks, and competitive landscape
- Collaborates on ad hoc client management requests, including POVs and larger executive-level projects
- Compiling and reviewing syndicated research runs, completing on-going reports, etc.

How You’ll Excel In Your Role
- Strong fundamental understanding of – and ability to teach – media math and planning concepts
- Working knowledge of major media planning tools, including syndicated research (Nielsen Media Impact, eTelmar platform, MRI, etc.), MediaTools, Vivvix, eMarketer, etc.
- Highly proficient in Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint, and Word
- Comfortable with numbers and general media math
- Strong communicator, attention to detail and impeccable organizational skills required
- A team player – Ability to give and receive direction across a large team
- Ability to interpret research and knowledge of available media
- Ability to think strategically and work on numerous assignments concurrently and able to shift gears on a moment’s notice
- Creative/Out of the Box Thinker
- Self-motivated, resourceful and naturally curious
- Strong teacher/mentorship skills
- Knowledge and experience within the Auto landscape and/or Gaming/Esports landscape, a plus (not required)
Pay and Compensation
This is an exempt position and is not eligible for overtime compensation. The salary range for this opportunity is $67,000 - $70,000 for candidates who align closely with requirements and expectations.
