ABOUT RHOS
The Rural Health Operating System (RHOS) is a Sand Technologies project that is reimagining rural healthcare delivery across Africa. RHOS seamlessly integrates technology, people, and processes to gather high-quality data from rural health posts, empowering healthcare leaders with real-time data for informed decision-making. This data is managed at our Health Intelligence Center, known as the Blueroom, which is also where the RHOS team provides tech and operational support to health posts to facilitate their delivery of high quality cost-effective care to rural populations.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this pivotal role, you will empower health post staff with the essential technological and soft skills needed to optimize their processes and provide enhanced healthcare services to rural populations. Additionally, you will take ownership of developing upskilling programs for various RHOS teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Scalable Learning Programs:
- Lead the development of comprehensive training content tailored to DHOs, Nurse Entrepreneurs, and Health Post staff, encompassing EHR usage, entrepreneurship, and other relevant subjects.
- Design and lead engaging training programs, both online and in-person, to effectively equip Health Post staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance their operations.
- Work closely with the RHOS Partnerships Lead to identify external partners who can contribute to enhancing training programs for Health Post staff.
Digital Training Platform Management:
- Manage the digital training platform for Health Post staff, ensuring a user-friendly and efficient learning experience.
- Identify learning gaps among Health Post staff and develop targeted learning strategies to address these gaps effectively.
- Develop new training content on RHOS products whenever a new feature is implemented, ensuring DHOs are well-equipped to train others.
Training program assessment:
- Define and track metrics to assess the success of training initiatives, using data to drive informed decisions and improvements.
- Conduct regular field visits to engage with Health Post staff, assess the impact of training initiatives, and gather insights for continuous improvement.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback on training programs in order to develop iterations that meet user needs.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs and implement strategies for improvement to ensure maximum impact.
Internal Team Upskilling:
- Develop and champion initiatives that promote continuous learning and innovation within the RHOS team, creating a dynamic and growth-oriented work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of work experience in curriculum design, training delivery, and learning program assessment.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
- Proven experience in digital content development
- Experience in mentorship, coaching, or talent development is advantageous.
- Proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
- Demonstrated growth mindset, embracing challenges and feedback as opportunities for learning and development.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate learning initiatives.
- A passion for continuous learning and growth.
- Willingness to travel to rural health posts.
